[DISCUSSION] Sysprep and capturing image using VirtualBox

Discussion in 'Virtualization' started by ceo54, Sep 14, 2021.

Vmware can create vhd . who says it cant just rename vmdk while creating a new vm at its last config page to vhd & see it will work with virtual hard disk image too.
i am saying this for Vmware Workstation PRO Licenced ver 16.2 but havent tested with previous versions.

That statement is about as clear as muddy water. The previous statement by sonic9 is correct - it can work with existing vhd, but not create one for use with new vm

Lol. In the last step, try appending .txt to the name of the virtual disk. It will still be a vmdk file internally, no matter what you call it.

Nonsense. Again, a vmdk file internally no matter what name you give it.
