This is a brilliant project. Is it possible to somehow have the output of the Command Window saved as a log file? I had my PC in the week building a 10 iso while I worked, and I watched it on my Notebook periodically over UltraVNC. However, Window 10 in its great wisdom, decided some update was urgent (I suspect it was that as some were pending) and rebooted my PC I think when it decided, so, I had to start over. I was not sure if the ISO had partially completed or fully completed and demounted all and deleted. I would quite like some way of knowing the ISO was made successfully if possible. I have used v1.6.0 and updated the builds. Does it matter that I did not use v1.7.0-r3? I run a Command Prompt as an Administrator.
Set your pc to not auto reboot when updates are installed/set working hours, the content of the cmd window is the log.
that is the question for uup-converter, if @abbodi1406 hasn't added it yet, I guess it's not an easy task
I can't download Windows 11 Version 22H2 (22621.2506) amd64. This update has known issues preventing the creation of a working ISO. Because of this, you can only manually browse its files.
Cumulative updates are not usable for ISO creation on the latest builds Just use full feature upgrade variant
I only came here to check for an update of the UUP dump app, only to find not only has it been updated, but the website is back online too! Brilliant news. I think it would be sensible for the app to be maintained for as long as possible, in case uupdump.net goes offline again. This way we can quickly revert to a known working method without having to wait for updates. This is easy for me to say however, as I'm not the one who has to work to maintain the code.
@Paul Mercer - Would you please consider adding a small Changelog.txt file to your app? It's sometimes difficult to know what the changes are, and if they would require a new image to be made, reduce confusion etc, and would save you having to post it here.
hi all, just trying to get server 2019 latest build as an iso, I used uupdump website directly, but this seems to no longer offer what i used to be able to do. certainly cannot build iso anymore from it etc. so i have the uupdump application downloaded, but im getting no where with it. now i know i will get called stupid, but is there a quick how to on how to use this excellent app. any help appreciated all, have a good day ! Alternatively - can i just mount the install.wim from my old iso, add-package / latest CU via dism command, commit and build a new iso from that ?
@Paul Mercer - I confirm the functionality of the UUP dump app version 1.7.0 r5... And because the app distinguishes itself from the website with its uniqueness, have you considered adding information about the version of the app being used to the website's header? This way, when a new build is released, information about the availability of a newer version would be displayed. I don't know how challenging it would be, but the local staff would certainly appreciate it. Thank you to all of you who are involved in the project.
