I had already tried a clean install with the uupdump created ISO and it worked fine for me too. The problems were only with Update in-place of Canary builds 27924 or 27928 previously updated with Windows Update. 4 different machines. ♂️ Not going to waste any more time on this, I'll wait for the next build. I already built the uupdump ISO 27928 twice and got the same result.
I assume you are still reading the next reply from me, in which i installed an older 27902 UUP dump ISO and performed an upgrade using a 27928 UUP dump ISO and no problems noticed?
I'm not going to try from 27902, I tried from a good 27924 and 27928 that were updated with Windows update. The uupdump ISO is created with the script downloaded from uupdump without any change. I've been doing the same for years without any issue, the problems started with 27924 and 27928. 08/25/2025 10:53 AM <DIR> . 08/25/2025 10:53 AM 8,208 27928.1_amd64_en-us_professional_77e605ec_convert.zip 08/25/2025 05:52 PM 652 ConvertConfig.ini 07/14/2025 02:36 PM 3,592 CustomAppsList.txt 08/25/2025 10:53 AM <DIR> files 11/20/2023 05:17 PM 1,014 readme.unix.md 08/25/2025 05:52 PM 2,604 uup_download_linux.sh 08/25/2025 05:52 PM 2,604 uup_download_macos.sh 08/25/2025 05:52 PM 5,219 uup_download_windows.cmd 7 File(s) 23,893 bytes 2 Dir(s) 391,860,674,560 bytes free Tried to build 27928 for the third time today and got the same results. ♂️ I had to restore my good backup Build 27928 that was updated with Windows Update without any problem.
Here is the update history of my good build 27928 that was updated with Windows Update. I don't see a 27902 in the history.
