@tsailion static winre.wim is english only and it not base 26100.1 + updates, it's a complete compilation of the matched version (i.e. all files and components in winre.wim are 26100.8036) it's intended for Containers and Docker images, not for regular images / ISO starting with build 26100, LCU does not apply to winre.wim (adding msu = skip), only Package_for_SafeOSDU they might backported the same behavior for 22621

@Enthousiast @mother.of.crows I thought the ISO was working, but it isn't. The virtual machine I have been testing on was connected to the internet during installation, so I suspected that maybe a rogue update was making it's way through the OOBE. For my testing I first installed with no internet connection and the Start menu appears to work. I then installed VirtualBox Guest Additions, rebooted and everything continued to work. I then connected the machine to the internet, checked and installed for and Windows Updates, rebooted and everything continued to work. For the second part of my testing, I reinstalled with an internet connection. The Start menu worked until I installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions and rebooted. So perhaps something is off with the Guest Additions? Edit: While posting this, the virtual machine was left running. After posting, the Start menu started to work again. Perhaps Windows needs time to set things up?
First I don't know why the other person is addressed, he/she has nothing to do with UUP dump or whatever. So, it was vbox related i assume.
I tagged the other person as they liked my previous post, so thought that my further response might interest them.
Is there a way include some Optional Feature component, for example: Network.Irda~~~~0.0.1.0, While building an ISO using UUP dump?
No uup-converter only assemble the segmented (dehydrated) files back into install.wim(esd) it does not add or remove anything, except updates and apps
Sorry to go back to the problem I reported earlier in this thread, of the Start menu being unresponsive. I tested and found that 28000.2704 has the same issue as the previous build I tested, 28000.2525. So I tested 28000.2704 without touching the INI files and used it as I downloaded it from the UUP dump website. This version works perfectly, even with VirtualBox Guest Additions installed. So perhaps it is some component I have removed, or something I have changed in ConvertConfig.ini. I change only two things in ConvertConfig.ini: CustomList =1 vDeleteSource=1 I will try to test as best as I can, but for now below are the original and changed INI files. This hasn't made any difference though.
AI only knows what it finds most on the internet, when a lot of "tech wise" people post about not including them (and lately they post a lot of nonsense or real crap (imHo)) then AI will suggst that as the best option, same for when a writer writes about murders a lot (like crime writers/journalists) AI will tell you he/she is a murderer (real example). Best is to set the customappslist option to 0 and not use it at all.
