I think you misunderstood or perhaps I was not as clear 1) Download ESD 2) Convert version... ie... Core to Professional Workstation 3) Make ISO Your method would have me make an ISO of which I would still need to manually extract, then convert, then find something to make another ISO. The idea I was hoping for would be to do it all in 1 shot.

1. ESD is not the same as UUP files (different conversion tools needed) 2. Use WES by @s1ave77 3. Open ISO with UltraISO and replace the wim/esd. There is no AIO tool for this.
The UUP downloads a bunch of ESD files and so for generalization I did mistakenly say, ESD. I should not generalize as often. Sorry. Yes, UUP files (which is a collection of mostly ESD file extensions with some CAB files) That is the tool I use. Of course it does add a few more steps and I'd like to simplify. Make the image.wim, convert it, then finally make the ISO. I guess that would save me from having to extract and reassemble. If you know a free alternative though, I'd be interested.

@s1ave77 - Good/bad idea I don't know!? Could it be done I don't know!? After updated and extracted and return to main menu, is it possible to start up the new version (script knows path or whatever) - message in old one saying "New vxx.xx.xx started - Close this Window". As mentioned, good/bad idea I don't know!? Or would it be over complicating things!? Edit: Or after extracted and "PRESS ANY KEY" message saying New vxx.xx.xx is at (folder location)" then "PRESS ANY KEY" again to return to main menu.
There should be no PW needed but when the script fails to extract the new download and you want to do it manually it asks for a PW.
