I have tested 6.1 20 & found many major improvements in it as compared to older releases by oracle aka virtualbox.
will test 6.1.22 tmrw . thanks for this update.

 

I'm using 5.2.45.

Very Nice Update with lots of improvements.

 

Somehow I can't install VirtualBox on Windows 11. It gives me the following error:

I could install VirtualBox on Windows 10. This includes all versions. I can't install any version. Not just 6.1.28.

 

6.1.28 or even 5.2.44 installed fine here, 22000.318. Working fine on dev latest as well. Are you running an older 11 build? because there was an issue that since has been fixed.

 

I'm running Windows 11 build 22000.346.

 

Sounds like softblock or Smartscreen. Does it work if you rename the VB installer file?

 

I don’t know. Can you tell how to check it?

 

Rename the install package of VirtualBox to something else, and try to run it again. This allowed working around softblocks.

 

Nevermind, I can't run any virtual machines. I have to find a way to disable the softblocks.
Even disabling the "Program Compatibility Assistant" service on services.msc doesn't help.

 

Install windows ADK - Compatibility Administrator Tool, then search for virtualbox in there

Still not working.
I tried to install VBoxDrv.inf file and performed this command. "sc start vboxdrv"
And got this: [SC] StartService FAILED 87: The parameter is incorrect.
