I'm having a issue with VS2026, and it involves using the new resource explorer. When I load one of my vs projects, and go to project solution view and click on the resources tab and no images appear in resources. So is there a way to revert back to using the previous version of the resource explorer that was in VS2022? Or is there a workaround/solution to this bug. I have already filed a bug report with MS about this bug.
Is it worth migrating to Visual Studio 2026 on Windows 10 Enterprise with ESU activated? I plan to use it on my main machine for another 3 years. Or to migrate to VS2022? I'm currently using VS2019. I'm worried of support which won't last long on Windows 10, I'm assuming.
I was installed Windows 10 IoT Ent on my main PC and recently uninstalled vs2019 and installed the stable version of vs2026, See screenshot. Spoiler: screenshot
@WinDev In relation to your question about system requirements, I have added a weblink to MS's website detailing all information about system requirements in OP (first post) of this thread.
Before I install VS2026 - should I uninstall VS2026 insiders? Well, I guess even if MS apparently says they work fine side by side, I think I will uninstall insiders as well as VS2022. I keep my modded completely AI-free VS2008 though. By previsions experience, I think there is a risk of messing things up when uninstalling these rather big things, but hopefully the new fresh VS2026 will fix up the eventual gaps.

Can someone elaborate on how to download and activate the main release version? Is the trial convertable to a full version? And although the MAS site shows a handful of keys, surely that's not enough to activate it, is it? With such a small number, would they not have been blacklisted long ago?
