Thank you for your help PointZero. Sorry I posted on the wrong thread. After you told me to be sure Task Scheduler was running, I found it was not and I couldn't start it. (Or system restore, or Windows Firewall, etc) I did a system repair first with my windows cd, then cleaned the computer again manually removing all traces of Office. Everything is great now! Thank you again and pls feel free to delete this thread.
Guys if want make one office 2013 sp1 full updated do i really need download all updates cauze i checked now using WHD and said only for x64 all updates is 1.66gb size ..??
I did not update Office2016 list yet meanwhile, you can keep these updates outside WHD's Updates folder and extract msp file manually (right-click on WHD bottom bar and select Office MSP Extractor) for integration, always use the newest msp file, they are cumulative
This post is a copy and paste from the Office install/support/chat thread as it may better fit here: Hopefully this is the right place to ask about Office updates. I've got an Office 2016 folder from where Office 2016 VL is installed, afterwards Project and Visio are being installed. I've downloaded all monthly updates with WH downloader and extracted all updates to the "updates" folder, putting those for Project and Visio in their own "updates" folder. After installing however, windows update still shows a bunch of updates for Office 2016. This should not be the case, maybe one or two but there are always 10 or more. When checking the updates offered by WU, those are already in the "updates" folder but did not get installed. So obviously I'm doing something wrong, can only think of two things: - Do I have to install Project and Visio before the main Office 2016 package? - Are there any updates that should not go in the "updates" folder (some msp files come in another compressed package)? - Is WHDownloader outdated? Furthermore, the install takes a lot of time to complete (more than 30 min) compared to a fresh iso without updates. Any pointers will be most welcome. Cheers.
I saw your post previously, but unfortunately i don't have an answer i don't do AIO office installs - try to install each product alone, with its updates - no - no - msp patches takes that time, specially huge ones like Office 2016
