Just updated the Office 2013 lists again. If you downloaded the lists earlier today, please do so again as more updates were added and removed :).

There are now 38 post-SP1 updates for Office 2013 x64, and 40 post-SP1 updates for Office 2013 x86. A large proportion of these updates are hotfixes, and as such aren't available through Windowsupdate or the Microsoft download centre. I mention this because normally Microsoft don't release the hotfixes so close to patch Tuesday updates (especially considering there were a large number of patch Tuesday Office 2013 updates). The reason for there being 2 extra updates for x86 is because those updates are x86 only.

Office 2010ProPlusx86 Updates

Just finished a new integration test and noticed a few odd things that I am reporting but still checking into... been up since 3:00 AM so I am not as clear/accurate as I would like... anyway:

Using the latest WHD updates and Burf's latest v12 installer I was left with the following in WU:
View attachment 28598

So far what I have:

The def's are a later version so I downloaded and updated
These 3 didn't seem to install from the script but they did manually... but I am checking it again
targetdir2010-kb2825640-fullfile-x86-glb
visioloc2010-kb2553444-fullfile-x86-glb
vviewer2010-kb2810066-fullfile-x86-glb
I think the other 2 were not in my updates but I am checking those

Sorry for the sloppy report

Well instead of getting less confusing its getting more... I did a test with just office & SP2 then ran WU, it showed 31 updates missing. I manually ran the v12 updater with the 36 updates from WHD (I included 2 additional and 1 updated item)... ran WU and it showed 0 updates missing. I then tested it calling the script from my MSP like before and damn it shows 25 updates missing... HUH  the different WU quantities seems to imply that Burf's script is running... I then ran it manually and sure enough 0 updates missing in WU... Burf does the script create a log file?

The Office 2013 Post SP1 update list with WHD, does it contain only the MU updates? Or also private, request only hotfixes?
I'm trying to find all updates that are on Windows Update when you install a fresh Office 2013 SP1 x64 iso

I have questions regarding M$ Updates for Office 2010 Home & Student edition… This also applies to Office 2010 Standard edition (excluding Outlook)

M$ Update attempts to install updates for Office APPS that are NOT included for this Office edition… e.g. Outlook, Access, Visio, Groove, Project, SharePoint Workspace etc. So, WHY does this occur and can these be safely IGNORED and not installed? My thinking is IF they are NOT needed for this edition, then WHY install them?:confused::confused:

Updates cannot be applied unless the required files that need to be updated are already present in the edition/system

some updates may labeled for a specific product, but the actual included files are present for the current different product

I assumed what you stated might be occurring, however I see no good reason to install M$ Updates for the included files that are present but cannot be accessed by the user.
So, are you suggesting to install e.g. Outlook, Access, Visio, Groove, Project, SharePoint Workspace etc. UPDATES even though these products cannot be utilized for Office Home & Student, Standard and other editions?

excelpp2013-kb2817302-fullfile-x64-glb.exe (15.0.4615.1000) should be removed from WHD, as it is superseded by excelpp2013-kb2880450-fullfile-x64-glb.exe, excelpp-x-none.msp, 15.0.4615.1001.

Thanks for that, that was my oversight :). I've corrected it now, but you will have to manually update the list in WHD due to the way the update lists system works. If the update of the list was recent, you will have to manually delete Office2013-x86.wh for x86 or Office2013-x64.wh for x64 from the UpdateLists folder. This will allow you to force the update of the list by using the symbol to the left of the update list dropdown box. It is NOT necessary to do this normally!

Please note that the junk email filter has been updated in the lists as well. However, since Microsoft have decided to keep updating this with the same filename WHD detects the new file as already downloaded since the old version is present. There is no versioning in the file name, it's exactly the same! The KB article for the junk email filter is up to revision 13.0, which makes actually makes sense when you take into account Microsoft's method for updates and KB articles...

Anyways, to get around this (at least for now) do a search and delete the following manually:
x86: outlfltr2013-kb2760587-fullfile-x86-glb.exe
x64: outlfltr2013-kb2760587-fullfile-x64-glb.exe

The newer version should then download successfully.

This is the second time (after the Spring update)that MS is releasing these huge Office 2013 updates that take a lot of free space on the HD.

Anyone knows what's happening?

@burfadel: just a friendly reminder (maybe you missed my PM last week)..

There are two Groove updates (groove2013-kb2863864 & groove2013-kb2880480) in WHD's lists. kb2863864 should be removed.

There are two Outlook updates (outlook2013-kb2880470 & outlook2013-kb2880961) in WHD's lists. kb2880470 should be removed.

These three don't install (either as the original .exe or the extracted .msp in Updates folder): spd2013-kb2837667, spdcore2013-kb2727100 & mscomct22013-kb2760272. Do they install for you? I think these should be removed also.

Thank you for all that you do in maintaining the lists.

--------
@Airbus & NICK@NUMBER11: some of the Office 2013 updates are huge now since MS has started to combine all the smaller, separate localization .MSPs into one large .MSP in the updates. This makes it convenient since there aren't dozens of localization files to sort through, but does take up more disk space now. (Thanks goes to abbodi1406 for info on this)
