For some reason Boot And Upgrade FiX KiT v1.3 wont work for me, option 2 with WIN10X64.MULTi-5.FEB2021 cant find the "menu" option.
"Menu.cmd" is a script in the system folder that is copied over. It isn't run automatically in case people want to run normal setup. To run it you need to press shift-f10 to bring up cmd prompt and type "menu" and hit enter after booting from the modified image.
Worked for me. Extract the zip file, and make sure a folder source_iso is there (I initially didn't look). Move the windows 11 iso into that folder and run the program. If its the actual menu command, yeh, shift-f10 if you need that menu.
My new cool start menu jumped back to the old W10 style after restarting??? Now i am left with the old start menu and don't know where to change it. What i did was changing color of the theme from light to dark and then restarted.
That's really a showstopper for me. I really loved Windows 8.1 Start Screen on my Surface Pro 3 and kinda "tolerated" W10 Tablet Mode on my Surface Laptop and Surface Book...but now totally remove a "tablet-first" experience when using a touch screen? This is not gonna end well for new Windows Tablets and 2in1 laptops...
But you know, from 20H1 you can't enable Tablet mode from button in Action Center, only by Settings->System->Tablet.
Hello, has anyone noticed a message saying that some features are being added but it always ends in error? Thank you. Sorry but I don't know how to attach pictures... I am not allowed to post links yet.
Yes, I have, and some of these features are related to other languages which are not released by Microsoft yet. You will also notice that if you wish to add .NET 3.51 support, it will fail, but if you use DISM, you can add it from the 21996.1 ISO. Forgot to add, if you upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11, ensure that all the needed updates are installed before performing the upgrade. Having said that, .NET 3.51 which is needed for an application, failed (in one case). I installed it from the ISO, all went fine.
It might be related to language, I installed from Microsoft Store a so called Language experience pack for Romanian... so the only solution is to wait 24 june?
Amazingly, the leaked unfinished internal build not intended for everyone to be able to use yet, is not intended for everyone to be able to use yet.
Yep, I noticed that the Feedback Hub is there but one is only able to log-in w/ a MS AAD Says I'm on a "Tented Project"... ah ok.
Which I find kind of pointless now since now everybody knows Windows 11 exists... Not only that, now everybody knows what it looks like, what it sounds like...
I have an ASUS M5A78L-M USB3 Mobo and doesn't support TPM or Secure Boot. Build 21996 won't install. Are they going to make a version that boards like mine can run. It is only 5 years old. TIA
