Well unfortunately my script is written in English so it doesn't really make sense to include all the other languages. It could be translated I suppose, but that would be a heck of a lot of work. I'm struggling to think of how other winrecfg mui files would even be used. In fact this is something that needs to be tested. If someone sets their system language to something else and tries to run the script. What happens?
So this is enough and fits all other language installs? Code: \---Windows \---System32 | choice.exe | menu.cmd | winrecfg.exe (22000.1) | \---en-US choice.exe.mui winrecfg.exe.mui (22000.1) and it will work on 21996.1 too?
Soo... the methods to install using Win10 Installer will bypass the need for UEFI/Secure Boot? I want to test this on a Core2Quad with no UEFI capable BIOS.
Here is one thing that may cause problems. I partitioned 60GB off my 512GB disc for the operating system for windows 10. anyway a check of suitability to load windows 11 fails of course because the C drive is now too small. So it seems I cant upgrade unless there is a work around. (yes secure boot is currently off.)
And for those following, I simply resized the partitions and bang, now all ok, C drive now 120GB, so now all ok. Moral of story, Its not the size of the whole hard drive for upgrades
Been waiting on @Enthousiast working on his updated script installer. I could upload a completely untested version with the winrecfg files added but that's not really my style. Plus he has hinted that he has been testing things. In the meantime I am reacquiring vmware since I lost my main hard drive this year that I used to do that work on. Besides I want to fiddle around with win11 on a vm since I have a bunch of old RPGs loaded on my system drive that I want to finish before I go bare metal, if I go bare metal with this thing. I also want to play around with my diskpart script and screwing around with different system languages and see if that messes up the installs or if I need to make a v1.2.9 with a dism line to detect the lang, then force en-us and set the lang back at the end.
Tested Option 1 with 19043.1081 ISO Success Win10_With_21996.1_x64_en-US_install.wim_2021-06-26.iso Tested Option 2 with 19043.1081 ISO Success Win_11_21996.1_x64_en-US_2021-06-26.iso Is one better for Upgrade ?
