Obviously if you don't have a TPM on the host it won't exist on the guest VM. If you do then your guest VMs can have one also.
Nope, that is mixed ISO solution for people not being able to create the ISO themselves, it works for clean installs using the standard setup. Option 2 is inserting the script for alternative setup method when clean installing from boot and the dll for (inplace) upgrade scenarios.
Hello there, After murphy78 pointed out my kindergarten error I went to bed. I woke up not long ago and realised that I still had an option 1 ISO suitable for clean install even though I had been using it incorrectly. Booted it up and set the install in motion. After the keyboard input choice screen - which I set to United Kingdom English - the next screen asked for the key. I clicked I don't have a key and I got a message saying installation has failed. And that was that. The ISO was made from The Win 11 leak and en_windows_10_enterprise_2016_ltsb_x64_dvd_9059483 You can read the output here: [DISCUSSION] Windows 10/11 Insider Preview Build 21996.1 (PC) [FAST/Dev Channel - co_release] [LEAK] Kit used=Win 11 Boot & Upgrade FiX KiT v1.4b The command was run from a Work folder on an active C drive - murphy78 reminded me that longer paths might introduce errors into the final ISO. I thought you'd better know about the key failure as usually the install continues until the create account screen, Best wishes
Are you installing or upgrading and when you're installing (from boot). try to put this ei.cfg file into the "ISO:\Sources" folder and there should be no questions for a key at initial setup. ei.cfg: Code: [Channel] _Default [VL] 0 I will put in the option to insert the mentioned ei.cfg file in the tool ps, it's best to use a more current ISO, just to be sure the LTSB setup isn't blocked by other methods, use a 19043.xxx ISO.
Hi, I am clean installing not upgrading I could mount the usb and drop the ei.cfg straight into the Sources folder; leave the usb plugged in and proceed to reboot and then on to boot menu. This has worked in the past. I'm kind of short on win 10 ISOs currently. Where would I find a clean 19043.xxx.ISO? Sorry to be a nuisance, thanks
Working on a newly added fix: Code: ============================================================ Win 11 Boot & Upgrade FiX KiT v1.5... ============================================================ ================================================================================ Select the desired FiX... ================================================================================ [ 1 ] - Put the Win 11 install.wim/esd in a Win 10 ISO (Provide a Win 10 ISO in the "Source_ISO\W10\" Folder) This method is usefull for clean installs from boot, using the standard W10 setup. [ 2 ] - Integrate Diskpart & Apply Image script (v1.28), modify boot.wim to skip the SB and TPM 2.0 check and replace "appraiserres.dll" with one from a 1703 ISO This method enables you to: - Use the standard Win 11 setup for clean installs on devices without Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. - Use the alternative Diskpart & Apply Image installation script for clean installs. - Circumvent "TPM 2.0 is required" error when (inplace) upgrading. ================================================================================ * Type your option and press Enter: 2 Extracting Source ISO... 7-Zip 19.00 (x86) : Copyright (c) 1999-2018 Igor Pavlov : 2019-02-21 Scanning the drive for archives: 1 folder, 1 file, 4874553344 bytes (4649 MiB) Extracting archive: Source_ISO\W11\21996.1.210529-1541.co_release_CLIENT_CONSUMER_x64FRE_en-us.iso -- Path = Source_ISO\W11\21996.1.210529-1541.co_release_CLIENT_CONSUMER_x64FRE_en-us.iso Type = Udf Physical Size = 4874553344 Comment = CCCOMA_X64FRE_EN-US_DV9 Cluster Size = 2048 Created = 2021-05-31 02:00:00 Everything is Ok Folders: 84 Files: 932 Size: 4868902748 Compressed: 4874553344 ============================================================ Adding Murphy78 Diskpart and Apply Image Script 1.28 To Boot.wim... ============================================================ Scanning "murphy78-DiskPart-Apply-v1.2.8\x64\" 529 KiB scanned (5 files, 4 directories) Using LZX compression with 1 thread Archiving file data: 529 KiB of 529 KiB (100%) done ============================================================ Modding Boot.wim to disable Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 check... ============================================================ Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.19041.844 Mounting image [==========================100.0%==========================] The operation completed successfully. Are there any actual insiders here? I need to pass along some information. The NUC8i7HVK has the i7-8809g CPU and is listed as an 8th gen CPU on Intel's ARK but is not listed on Microsoft's officially supported CPU list. A fellow NUC8i7HVK user also confirmed that the leaked build refuses to install due to an incompatibility. I checked the TPM status and that is not the issue, its clearly listed in the device manager and WhyNotWin11 says all but the CPU is compatible. I'm guessing that this is either an oversight or the fiasco between AMD and Intel on this joint CPU resulted in Intel asking it not to be listed as they continue to pretend that the CPU does not exist.
The old Control Panel is still not fully incorporated into the Settings after years of development. It is one thing I am expecting to see in Windows 11 before. I don't know why Microsoft is still leaving the Control Panel unattended to.
What will be the state of this leaked build when official ones will come out ,,, wil this build will have some ways to capture updates or just the end of the story here only
It appears this build will not get any updates, you can't even install the "optional features" because there's apparently nothing server-side to download. I think everyone who's installed the leaked 21996 will obtain and install an official build, and instantly forget this one ever existed.
