[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 (1703 RS2) "Creators Update" Final 15063 (PC)

That happens to me with some 64 bit applications .especialy with DDU and a game Aion.but the d3d9.dll crashes with rivatuner not with the msiafterburner.everything works when I disable the 64bit support in rivatuner

 

So I'm on 15063.14,

Went to install the latest nvidia driver. Normally I do DDU in safe mode. Looks like there might be a problem with booting into safe mode. At least for me. It keeps booting to a black screen with only the cursor.
Only way to get it to stop is to boot from the install usb and use the cmd prompt and run bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safemode.

Anyone else have any problems with safe mode?

 

Safe mode works for me. Also my laptop uses nvidia driver which an update was available today for mines.

 

Probably kon-boot needs an update for every new build of Windows 10.

 

The latest version of DDU(17.0.6.1) works fine here(15063.14).

 

I've never hated an update from Microsoft this much. I've done 5 clean installs and yet the computer still finds a way to screw things up later down the road. Damn this. And they consider it an official release.

Does anyone know any issue working with Creators Update in VMware Workstation Pro 12.1.0.2487?
I just want to service the win image: updates, sysprep and capture.

My host OS is Win 8.1 as usual (my production machine)

Thing is I don't want to update my VMware current version, spare me the hassle of updating my anti-exe whitelist.

I stopped using VMWare a long time ago. I use Hyper-V for that sort of thing. Works great!

 

I'd need to walk the long learning curve, right?

Yes or it will never arrive hahahaha

Guess it's much less hassle to update my sec apps than trialing erroring an obsolete VMware version alongside Creators Update.

Had the same thing after installed the kb ending with 51 reverted to .13 hehe or something related to kb ending 52 not installing any more had to set back an backup and do it over again
