OK, thanks, by I mean using a normal DVD not DL-DVD or USB.
Maybe there's some files not needed that I can remove from the ISO?

I'm not exactly sure but there might be a possibility to obtain a smaller ISO from the ESD and by using abbodi1406's FULL ESD>ISO converter with option 2

Is the size you mention with install.wim or install.esd? DVD's? Discs? Are they those round shiny things!

If the former you could compress with abbodi's ESD <>WIM and see what final size you get then.

Hello, has someone gotten "Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709 Failed to install on ‎10/‎18/‎2017 - 0x80240034" in Windows Update after the update? I did a clean install so idk why it's showing me that. Should I do a clean install again?

Guys, I don't know if you can help me but I've converted the esd to an ISO file and now I want to burn it to a USB stick. I used to used a tool to do this and for the life of me I can't remember the name of the tool I used to use. Would anyone please be able to name a few programs that will allow me to do it and hopefully then I can remember the name of the program I usually use.

    Thanks in advance

Microsoft is no longer using DVD's. If you buy Win 10 from Store it comes installed on a USB Flash Drive.
    From Store Retail
    Windows 10 Home - Full Version 32 & 64-bit (USB Flash Drive)
    Windows 10 Pro - Full Version 32 & 64-bit (USB Flash Drive)

Thanks, I can try this. (but if it works, why Microsoft didn't do it?)

Thanks, I guess I'll have to reinstall Windows, I haven't seen someone report this issue so something must've gone wrong in the installation.

That's why esd is better than ISO because you can convert esd to compressed ISO and burn it into 4.37GB dvd disk. It also save you space in hard drive.

You have to use Double Layer DVD`s, remember that all commercial released DVD´s are ~8.5 GB, not 4.5 GB. Besides that, Microsoft has started to sell USB sticks instead of DVD´s anyway. Who´s still using DVDs anyway? It´s a thing of the past nowadays. I haven´t burned a single DVD in YEARS, given the extremely cheap USB stick prices.

Ok, thanks for this but I have a question, I downloaded from both sources and this is what I got

    ISO (Downloaded)
    File name: en_windows_10_multi-edition_vl_version_1709_updated_sept_2017_x86_dvd_100090759
    Hash: 8C274CE27B49D43216DFEF115B811936880E6E06
    Size: 3.11 GB (3,341,574,144 bytes)
    ISO (Converted from ESD)
    File name: 16299.15.170928-1534.RS3_RELEASE_CLIENTCONSUMER_OEMRET_X86FRE_EN-US
    Hash: 18716917192B3A8FFE40A4F7130E8B1E952EEC91
    Size: 3.08 GB (3,307,851,776 bytes)

Why do they have different sizes and which one should I use?

The size varies because of compression.
The "VL" in the file means that it is a volume version -> intended for KMS activation.

You can use your converted file "16299.15.170928-1534.RS3_RELEASE_CLIENTCONSUMER_OEMRET_X86FRE_EN-US".
Or download the version that matches the SHA1 (hash/checksum). Anyway both are version 1709 build 16299.15

If you have more than 4gb of ram you need to download the x64 (64 bits) version:
    "en_windows_10_multi-edition_version_1709_updated_sept_2017_x64_dvd_100090817"

Note: You can use Multihasher to check the Hash value.

As far as i can see, all x64 iso's should be to fit on a single layer dvd, just delete the sxs folder in sources. All content can be added when windows is installed at Programs & Features anyway.

Or create an ISO with compressed install.esd, @abbodi1406's ESD>ISO & UUP>ISO should offer that option.
Links to the tutorials can be found at the OP :)

Sorry if someone asked this before because I can't read all the 103 pages.

What was the version that people downloaded in the stable ring? Did they downloaded 16299.15 and then 16299.19 patch? or 16299.19 directly?
