Thanks to you - and others. I'd seen the reference to ei.cfg previously, however, I"d also caught references to that mechanism being deprecated. Hadn't tried it yet, but based on commentary here, I'll give it a whirl. Regarding Pro on a clean VM, yes, correct. VM had no MSDM; it was a clean VM created in VMware Workstation 14 Pro. With "Easy Install" it only offered Home, Pro, Home single Language, and Education - no Enterprise. Just trashed the VM, and will dupe the ISO with an EI.CFG file in place per yours (and others') suggestion and post back later.
This was what was there originally (and did not work): Code: This was what was there originally (and did not work): [Channel] volume [VL] 1 I replaced it with this, which also did not work: Code: [Channel] _Default [VL] 0 This, however, did work: Code: [EditionID] Enterprise [Channel] OEM [VL] 1
The one i gave you works, the one you show sets enterprise to the OEM channel This is the ei.cfg of the multi-edition_VL iso: Code: [Channel] volume [VL] 1
@Enthousiast, bizarrely, doing "I will install an OS later" gives me precisely what I want - and, just FYI, I was using the multi-edition VL ISO from the beginning, but for whatever reason, that damn Easy Install was throwing me for a loop. Goes to show I need to spend more time dicking with VMware Workstation, than I have in the past... previously, I was a DCV guy. Bleeding-edge VCP, go figure. This explains the EFI issue I was experiencing, too. I'm golden now - thank you VERY much for your help!
I just worried about size btw, did you exprienced about cracking sound if device plug-in like usb in this windows FCU? or maybe just I did not update all update from ms driver
No crackling sound overhere when i insert an USB device. Overall iso size of my dutch 16299.19 AIO x64: 3.45 GB (3,704,979,456 bytes) Nothing chopped, pre-enabled dotnetfx3, all current updates integrated, install.esd.
oh all in install.esd not install.wim? so that just 3.45GB in all btw real windows did you use whats is? I mean not in VM.. did you instal all update in ms driver? like wifi, all of driver.. sorry I dont mean to post this.. I just experienced problem if this driver installed in my NB..like shutdown but not shutdown, press restart but result is shutdown. So all I do just install is old driver like windows 8/8.1..
@LostED Cloud (/N) SKUs are incapable of KMS activation as no GVLK range is defined for them. Also you can't run Win32 apps normally on them. @balubeto As suggested by multiple times, please don't open new threads for already discussed topics. You need a valid Pro digital entitlement which is also eligible for Cloud/S. On the other hand, is there any specific reason to use this SKU?
Hi, Is it possible to activate "online" a "windows 10 enterprise" with a "windows 8.1 enterprise" legit key? thanks
Hi, Please: I did an upgrade from “windows 10 build 1703 enterprise” - activated - to “windows 10 build 1709 enterprise” with the installation ISO file “SW_DVD5_Win_Pro_Ent_Edu_N_10_1709_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-50143.ISO” After this process, my note lost the activation. Is it right? Do I need to activate again? I think the activation is permanent. What can I do? Thanks for windows 10 build 1703 enterprise I used "SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_10_1703_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-36478.iso" for windows 10 build 1607 enterprise I used "SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_10_1607_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-07102.iso" I have no problems with office 2016 licenses.
