Hello guys, Is this RS3 release worth installing ?. Because i have problems with all the releases of windows 10 released since Jan 2017 . I am in LTSB x64 2016 now and that works without a hitch. For the versions released in and after JAN 2017, after a couple of days, windows will stay at the login screen or there is some issue like crashing, freezing which makes me to revert back to ENTERPRISE LTSB x64 2016. How about RS3 ?. Please advise me. Thank you
Well, with the same FCU "RTM" ISO installed on top of CU Production OS, I still got this on first Edge opening: The "Hey Insiders!" remark does not seem so encouraging... (but probably just because my MS Account it's still Insider on other devices)
Same error with for ISO fr-CA.esd file. But I used the created files and upgraded to 16299.15 successfully.
The discussion about 16299.15 being the Final 1709 RS3 build is over, the full consumer_esd's are available....
Is there a difference between v30 manually fixed by mkuba50, and the "official" v31? I used the first for getting the ISO, and all my upgrades on my machines went smoothly. I assume that once the ISO is converted without errors, it should be good anyway?
mkuba's fixed version was a temp solution for a specific problem, just use the tools made by the original releaser.
I know, I only asked if the generated ISO from mkubs's fix would differ from another conversion with original or not. Since I personally upgraded 2 it-IT Pro machines just fine, I would just settle with that
Have a strange problem here. I had to reinstall Windows last night because the drive where I store Apps, programs and user account died. Have OS on a SSD and everything on a 3TB seagate, the seagate died. So what happened is this Windows would boot really really slow (3+ minutes) icons would not show for another 10 minutes, so I removed the drive and reinstalled build 16299.0 ( it was the only one I had on a USB stick at the time) All when fine, as I was setting up office 2016 and my email accounts Windows started installing 16299.15, no big deal I though. Until everything was done and it asked to restart, so did that. Everything was going good, then back to lock screen, signed in like normal with my PIN, No desktop picture that normally comes up, only a 3 icons from things that I had reinstalled out of the 8, and no office 2016, no email accounts, and I see two user accounts with the same name. One has basicly nothing in it and the other has everything that I had installed. What gives. Anyone have that happen.
That is a very specific scenario and you ask: anyone have that happen Nobody in his right mind first installs an Insider Preview only to let it upgrade to the official build, if the official build is available. I also don't get why you leave a broken hdd connected and then reinstall windows on the working ssd.
I did not leave the dead drive in the system I put a 1TB drive in its place and then reinstalled Plus I only had build 16299.0 on USB when this happened, I did not have a chance to put build 16299.15 onto a USB. So if you don't have time to read and help then don't comment.
