I don't know, it's likely something a developer did because they were bored that adds nothing of value and you'd just have to stick with 1703. You can always bring it up in the Feedback Hub.
Have you used any tweaks or disabled anything? I know this works after clean install, but not after applying my tweaks, so it is dependant on something.
I cannot install any NVIDIA GeForce drivers on 16299.15. I have tried with the latest from GeForce.com, I have tried the latest which supposed got pushed through Windows Update not too long ago but none will install. Windows Update don't give me any new drivers either. So I have no NVIDIA Control Panel or anything.
They work fine on my end. Make sure to do a clean install of 16299.15 and not an upgrade from previous versions.
I did a clean install. That's really awkward, I got GTX 1080 Ti. Might it be because I have the Intel HD 630 Graphics activated in BIOS to run my secondary monitor as I have two G-Sync monitors so running both from the NVIDIA card is causing some issues. I will try to disable the Intel card and see if I can get the driver to install.
LOL So far it is insider build only. It will take weeks until MS will admit, that it is actually also RTM.
It doesn't show "Hello insiders" on any of my clean test installs, it prolly will when some-one upgrades from an insider build or uses an online windows account with the IP MSA.
Disabling the Intel Graphics didn't help. I had to run Display Driver Uinstaller and disable automatic driver installer in Windows in order to be able to install the NVIDIA GeForce driver. For some reason 16299.15 keeps installing a driver that makes it so that every new driver I try to install manually would fail.
Hello, It seams I cannot set Windows should ask for my feedback to Never in Settings>Privacy>Feedback & diagnostics? When I select Never and close and reopen the settings app, I see it's on Automatically (Recommended) even on a clean install. Any idea? Bug? Edit: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Siuf\Rules] "NumberOfSIUFInPeriod"=dword:00000000 "PeriodInNanoSeconds"=dword:00000000
Someone having troubles with wireless printer state detection (offline - online)?. I never had this issue with my Brother printer on build 1703
Have you set both settings to 0? Code: reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Siuf\Rules" /v "NumberOfSIUFInPeriod" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Siuf\Rules" /v "PeriodInNanoSeconds" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f
Hey it gives me this error: Error: 11 An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. Running on Windows 10 build 1703. DISM /Get-WimInfo works though.
