There's a sticky thread dedicated to this release, tons of other ppl have asked for Enterprise in the main thread. Post Use this.
I had serious problems with Store and its apps after I upgraded from my RS 2. However, I have no more or even a single problem so far since I did the clean install. I'm a research student in computer vision and I also use many tools, IDE, and libraries, and I haven't found any problem yet. I do love this build. I suggest the clean install.
I did a clean install, I always do, but with a customized image file. I guess in this case the problem is related to the provisioned application packages. I didn't have any problems in the past, but now it seems that when you remove some of them (like the Maps app), you break certain Windows features as well (shouldn't be the case for any non-critical, non-System app). Unfortunately, the XAML designer of Visual Studio seems to depend on some of the Maps functionality, and so it's broken as well. I just checked with a vanilla 16299.15 image in Hyper-V, and it works fine. I'm really disappointed of this release for now, from a deployment perspective. Maybe I just had bad luck and run into some kind of weird corruption that passes under the radar of DISM and SFC, but it's strange. It just never happend with a bleeding edge build so far, and it really should not with a build that is RTM and apparently shipped to manufacturers for customization/preloading.
Maybe it's the case. Have you tried creating a new Windows account? If this could not fix, I guess it's the same problem like when I upgraded from my RS 2. By the way, to prevent something bad like this happens, I created a local administrator account of Windows and other administrator which I'm using right now. This way, if I mess the things up with this current account, I will delete this account and created a new one with my local administrator account.
I've been curious if I can create ESD that can be used with abbodi's converter with every single edition that is offered by combining clientconsumer esd with enterprise and enterpriseN UUPs. It actually worked, and by referencing clientconsumer ESD I had to only download these UUP files Code: amd64fre_Client_pl-pl_lp.esd EnterpriseN_pl-pl.esd Enterprise_pl-pl.esd Microsoft-Windows-EditionPack-Enterprise-Package.ESD Microsoft-Windows-EditionPack-Enterprise-WOW64-Package.ESD Microsoft-Windows-EditionSpecific-Enterprise-Package.ESD Microsoft-Windows-EditionSpecific-Enterprise-WOW64-Package.ESD Microsoft-Windows-EditionSpecific-EnterpriseN-Package.ESD Microsoft-Windows-EditionSpecific-EnterpriseN-WOW64-Package.ESD Then I have created a rough script that exports all indexes from clientconsumer esd that I placed in ref folder and then exports Enterprise from UUPs. Code: @echo off for /L %%i in (1,1,11) do ( wimlib-imagex.exe export ref\clientconsumer.esd %%i new.esd ) wimlib-imagex.exe export Enterprise_pl-pl.esd 3 new.esd --ref="ref\*.esd" wimlib-imagex.exe export EnterpriseN_pl-pl.esd 3 new.esd --ref="ref\*.esd" Information from wimlib-imagex about created ESD: Code: WIM Information: ---------------- Path: new.esd GUID: information helpful. Instead downloading 8,5GB of UUPs you need to download 3GB clientconsumer ESD and 1,6GB of dependencies for Enterprise. Note that this is in case of Polish language, because I only tested with it. UUP converter for some reason does not show OS names for Enterprise editions added to the ESD using this method, but ISO is created without any problems.
Can anybody tell me what is the way to install pro version from the iso i made from esd i had oem home single language installed and now the installation from fall creators update also installs the same. it does not ask for pro home like options i checked the esd by decypter tool, it had so many versions but as my acer laptop has inbuilt oem info so i guess it automatically installs the same, however i have pro digital license with me so thinking to install pro over home single language
It just means there are no 2 different IP channels (rs_prerelease skip ahead + rs3_release) anymore, now rs3 is official, the normal Fast & Slow ring will be the channel for receiving IP builds from now on.
So, any thought? I am sorry but I have suspect about DISM's ability to edit ESD files at all? I think this only applies to WIM files.
hi. Anyone try the emoji in this build ? This build work great in my PC. The emoji not work in edit message.
Thanks for providing all the infos here! Barerly did anything with uup, edu and converting this stuff afterwards in the past (I think once?), you guys have ALL the infos you need, the only problem you may face: Reading (and probably understand what you read.....). The issues I faced were on my end and all are fixed. Running enterprise x64 and used @s1ave77 JATD Tool to activate Windows and office 2016 (Needed to convert it, but its working - and thats what matters). I haven't faced any issues so far, games are running smooth, no crashes/bsod's/whatsoever. Running it on a 4 years old MSI GT70 Laptop were drivers on the MSI site itself are only provided for Windows 8(.1), but yet they are working under Windows10 itself, so no driver issues aswell (Some specific things, Chipset and GPU drivers are downloaded and installed from vendors site itself).
