Well I ran it as per instructions from WZor and it created a 16299.15 ISO, that's all people want really so it'll do until an official one is released
110% correct. Easy for those maybe unfamiliar with/confused by the ESD/UUP stuff, at least until ISO's drop for them.
The packages.cab in WZor's tweet simply contains an XML file - all of the sources point to microsoft windowsupdate locations so I doubt there's anything malicious going on. I doubt anyone can tell you whether this release is the 'real deal' until Microsoft release the official ISO's and update the Media Creation Tool sources accordingly.
Will Windows Update see released 16299.15 as the final version and get all the updates or is it still a preview version, although uses the final RTM build?
WU downloads the 16299.15 Full Consumer_RET esd's, and around the releasedate there probably will be a CU or ZDP (15063 got a small CU).
Speaking of Full Consumer_RET ... I (read somewhere) forget source @themoment. Windows iso's will be larger than regular dvds these times around so double layer dvd or 8gb usb will be needed to bulld an iso. OLD news? Fake news? To most here a non issue since Murphy & others projects were always over 4.7
The last official IP AIO iso (16294) was only: 4465.12 MB (4682018816 bytes) and it contains all Client SKU's.
Good stuff in that PDF... Didn't know about the "Activity Monitor" in "Delivery Optimization". It feels like it is hidden... too much steps to get there. Update and Security -> Windows Update -> Advanced Options -> Delivery Optimization Click "Activity monitor" or click "Advanced options" to adjust bandwidth.
Since I been on this Windows 10 build. Windows keeps deleting CCleaner on every start up. But now I'm going to clean install and see if that makes any difference. I been upgrading since few builds back.
I downloaded the ESD, converted to ISO then installed. All is well except when I try to run the Store app I get an error message saying "Something bad happened, unknown layout specified in manifest" how to fix this
