On a clean install, run the "windows store apps" trouble shooter and select "reset store" when the option appears.

It's prompting me to login with a Microsoft Account. Do I have to login to a Microsoft Account to fix this? Used to be able to use
the Store before without needing an account

I had that happed 2x so
I used the search box/ typed in "Store" & it worked 4 me.

edit: Store has worked every time using the start menu/ taskbar shortcut, after doing the above trick, somehow it fixed my store opening problem.

Google Chrome runs in the background even when its not actively open. As a result, Windows new reload open apps upon restart feature will cause Chrome to re-open.

Open Google Chrome and then goto the background apps section on the taskbar (near the clock), right click the Google Chrome icon in this area and then untick the option to have Google Chrome run in the background.

I imagine Google will fix this in an upcoming Chrome release.

I think that has to do with a "feature" added by Microsoft since the build 16251 called "autolaunch".

In order for apps or programs not to open automatically when you turn on or restart the PC, you have to close all open windows of that program before shutting down or restarting the PC, this is the only "solution" that I found:

Not in my case, that toogle doesn't disable the autolaunch, as explained J. Gentleman, and certainly does not disable autolaunch of Chrome.

I noticed this bug across several installation of RS3, launch regedit, then try to look for anything using its search tool. As the search going on, the whole system will slow down to a crawl even the mouse pointer will be choppy and the search takes forever. Boot into safe mode and this doesn't happen

Can someone try searching for anything using regedit?
