Guys, i downloaded a 6gb file with media creation tool. i extracted x86 and x64 esd and placed them renaming one to installx86.esd and the other as installx64.esd and chose combine to 1 serviceable wim . After sometime i get error that \ISOIMAGES\boot.wim not found or something like that. Am i missing something ?
I installed this version of windows 10 rs3 16299.15.170928-1534.RS3_RELEASE_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_X86FRE_EN-US.ISO but I have this problem in windows store
The FULL Consumer_RET ESD's is what people will download when they use the MCT/UA or by WU when it goes GA, nothing will change, only sstack, CU's and Flash updates will be published, the base will be 16299.15. And i thought this stupid discussion was done already.....
What? MCT isn't yet updated to offer RS3. You surely downloaded RTM of RS2 (1703). And FYI, you don't need do anything if you have selected the option in MCT to save the image as an ISO file, if not you have to manually copy one file i.e., ESD and create an ISO file with abbodi's script.
Is it happening on clean install? Coz many users including me used to have the same problem with RTM of RS2, and was then fixed with a cumulative update. If I recall correctly, this is due to default AHCI controller by MS. BTW I hope MS doesn't nuke HDD or SSD this time
Sorry I am not sure if its the official MCT or the hack but i downloaded it from this portal. I retrieved the index information from that ISO and it gives me both x64 and x86 versions and it has all the versions except enterprise. So can i try installing this ?
The official MCT for 16299.15 is not available so you've used the hack version, but when you use the MCT you won't get a Multi-Arch iso with one serviceable wim, only 2 separate install.esd's. To get what you want i described here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-final-16299-15-pc.75255/page-56#post-1379435
