    The search function appears to be crippled at best: desktop programs such as MS Office 2016, Adobe Acrobat/Photoshop, etc are not shown in search results. Anyone has the same issue, and, knows how to fix it?

    Did you disable cortana? or search ui components?

    I don't think I disabled it or other search UI stuff..
    Just found out that the search of "Edge" can not even give me MS Edge browser.
    The only change I made is during the installation process, I denied Cortana to be my personal assistant. But I did not disable or touch anything related to Cortana after that step.
