Hello to all. I have read and followed all posts. I'm all set to install the Fall Creators Update. I just wanted a confirmation because I no longer find the post where it was already spoken: do you confirm that the onedrive feature on demand will be active only after the official release of October 17? I have seen on a pc of a friend who has already installed the RTM that this feature is not yet available. Thank you all for a good day!

The error message is not store not signed in but something like an unexpected error happened. More like a BSOD in store without BSOD in windows.
Anyway thanks for letting me know. Will try it out.

Microsoft lied about KB4043961 update. Where it mentions "Addressed issue where, after removing apps, they’re reinstalled on every restart, logoff, and login.". That is not true. I uninstalled "Candy Crush Soda Saga, Facebook, March of Empires, Minecraft, News, and Twitter. After few minutes those apps reappeared again.

The new build is 16299.19, or KB4043961. As you can probably guess, there are no new features in the update. Instead, it focuses on some last-minute fixes, including the following:
    • Addressed issue where, after removing apps, they’re reinstalled on every restart, logoff, and log in.
    • Addressed issue where localization of the error output from a JET database is broken. Only English error strings are reported.
    • Security updates to Windows kernel-mode drivers, Microsoft Graphics Component, Internet Explorer, Windows kernel, Microsoft Windows Search Component, Windows TPM, Windows NTLM, Device Guard, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Wireless Networking, Microsoft Windows DNS, Windows Server, Microsoft JET Database Engine, and the Windows SMB Server.
Interestingly, Microsoft is yet to release ISO images of build 16299, so the only users that can be running it is Insiders on the Release Preview ring or higher. With that in mind, this update is of course only for Windows Insiders.

I am curious if the ISO will be 16299.15 or 16299.19 or if my original source was right and we'll end up with 16300.0 on October 17th. We only have 3 more days before the official release on October 17th. :animatedfear:

There are so many small bugs in this release... I managed to disable notifications from Facebook Messenger entirely, I wanted to only mute a specific group conversation that keeps nagging me (the Windows 10 app completely ignores whatever mute settings you have on Facebook.com or in the iOS/Android apps..). But I don't want to turned off for everything, but the damn app doesn't show under Settings -- Privacy -- Notifications and going to the settings within the app just takes me to the same page where the app doesn't show...

I have also disabled Windows Defender but there is no way to get the damn Windows Defender Security Center to not have this really frustrating red X over it even though I have told Windows 10 to NOT nag me about Windows Defender / Anti-Virus settings... There seems to be a huge lack of consistency between actual settings and how the stuff ends up behaving.

Another really annoying thing is how Settings -- Updates & Security have this "*Some settings are managed by your organisation" text showing at the top even though I have done NOTHING through Group Policy Editor or anything, neither have I changed anything using regedit. This is a freshly installed and activate Windows 10 Pro and the only thing I have changed is to active "Give me update for other Microsoft products when I update Windows". Why do I have this annoying text? I can click this "View configured update policies" but it doesn't really tell you anything of use.

Can't you just disable Windows Defender Security Center in the Taskmanager, startup tab?

If you disable it, you might get various errors (not that it matters too much), like when clicking on System - About, because it is supposed to display on top a status of: AV, firewall, health.

EDIT: I get the error, even when it is enabled, so nevermind.

Apologies cos' not running RS3 atm, but can't you disable that in msconfig somewhere, there's something like a Defender notification thing set to start at boot or something like that, can't remember now? I posted it in the old Creators Update Tweaks Post but the screenshot showing how to disable it has since gone down.

Edit: Apologies, that tweak was how to stop the Defender Disabled icon in the notification area.

When disabling the Defender Security Center service and / or the Windows Firewall Service I can't play Windows Store games online for some reason.. It will deny me access to all online functionality, its really stupid..

    Scusate.
Sorry. I just thanked and said that a link was enough. Sincerely, the photo with the baby he was taking was saving her. He was right anyway, I could have tried better. However it seems to me that many experts on this forum are a bit too susceptible ... It is no accident if I read you often but never write. Avoid getting poorly responsive answers. I do not say anything on English. How could you have noticed I do not know

    I'm not an expert friend.

Plz don't mistake a bit of light hearted comment, as anything other than just that. ;)
