To turn off silent app installer: Code: REG ADD "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager" /v "SilentInstalledAppsEnabled" /D 0 /T Replace with 1 to turn it back on This stops the installs of things like candy crush saga and stuff from the windows store.
Code: REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager /v SubscribedContent-338388Enabled /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f To add on this turn off show suggestion in start.
Hi, what is the settings/app crush problem. I'm wondering if I should be installing the new 19h1 update.
Where I posted the issue in this OP that's mean it's the exp that am getting in 19H1 & I've not tried 20H1 yet.
The fact that it still has the ''standby memory'' thing is really annoying. It begun with 1703(March 2017), we have May 2019 and no change. You still need ISLC to clean the standby memory, otherwise you get stutters in some games.
I tried to use it again earlier today and it seems to trigger NOT when I use an app in FS mode (tried Vivaldi and Explorer), but actually when I close apps down and I have just the Win10 desktop itself open. Then Focus Assist would enable itself. I actually planned to use this as complementary to when the "Game" Focus Assist fails, which is somewhat often (I would get notification overlays over a number of mostly Dx12 titles).
the FA is designed to turn on / enable by default while gaming our using any app in FS mode & disabled /turn off afterwards immediately. But it's not behaving in that way in 19H1, moreover, it's turning on automatically even when the users isn't gaming or not using any app in FS mode. Have you tried to turn that off permanently by tweaking the proper registry value or just manually from Windows Settings?
I disabled the new feature "for fullscreen apps" and that made it work like in 1809 for me. Which is OK. Only flaw is FA not detecting some fullscreen games at times and showing notifications over them.
I updated to 1903, and updated the extras to go to 18362.86. I use Remote Desktop (WIndows 10 version) with a ton of servers saved it I normally After I updated it, I open remote desktop, the circle spins for like 5-10 min, then finally opens. After this LOOOONNNNGGG delay, it runs fine, till I close it an re-open it, then it does it again. Anyone run into this and how to fix it with out losing the server list I have(nuking it to scrach is somethin I would like to avoid) ? Is there a updated version ?
I use Remote Desktop (rdp, or mstc.exe) every day, to connect to a number of different windows servers. This is in my day job, not as a hobby. I keep a folder on my desktop, which has 11 different *.rdp files in it. I just double click on that folder to open it in File Explorer, and then double click on one of the *.rdp files, and bingo, I’m connected. Run “mstc.exe /help” to see how to use the program to create and edit your *.rdp files.
