Is this confirmed, or are we only seeing this type of updates for 19H2 due to it being a smaller feature update? As far as i know, after 20H1 is released, 20H2 could still be another big update.

2019 is an exceptional mess (msft quote), because of some policy changes, they still are planning to do 2 per year.

...because going with just one release per year was too simple. Now we have monthly cumulative updates, and then we have a bigger one. Or, a "semi-feature update". Without the features. That's the half-ass hipster way of being professional, I guess. What a mess. There is no strategy in Windows, it all depends on the mood and the color of Dona's dress at the day. The weirder, the better. :D

PS: I have no insights into their development processes, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is an example of how "Agile" and "DevOps" are failing.

Dona is all about best selfie pouts, twitter flair and giving zero f**ks for Windows development.

OK, so we have been receiving two big feature updates each year, and people complained. Now we have one feature update, and cumulative updates each month (which people wanted) and people complain. Hilarious!

So, where did you hear this? Do you follow her twitter feed? This isn't what I have been reading.

Dona stopped posting about insider preview releases all together, only traveling and projects these days.

We have to remember that is Dona's personal twitter account, not a Microsoft twitter account.

So at the end when they want to release 1909 to public we will get one huge CU(huge in comparision with normal CUs) and jump into 1909?

    I think they won’t call it 1909 external, internal it’s called 19H2.
