you put the kb4517245.cab into the root folder of the C drive [aka c:\] (or specified the path for the "root" folder for that cab file)
that's a big no-no if you have uac enabled since win10 may not let you store files there on the root folder of your C drive.
put that cab file onto a temporary folder like c:\temp and correctly specify the folder where the cab file is located

try in a folder. And rename it to the original name and try.

Look, the UUP info is what MSFT uses for it, sha-1 still is good to use.

I don't get an original name, only a PHP string.

I have to rename the file manually but the SHA1 hash still matches.

Doubtless, this is *all my fault* but I doubt I'll be the only one, hence M$ are testing this fkucer on us...

CBS log reveals nothing extra, btw.

Just sayin'. Thanks for any input!

    :(

I'm not really saying anything, guy/girl...

I just thought I'd try the latest version.

Obviously, it doesn't work because it is for a different release channel.

I'm simply informing a bunch of folk that I respect enormously, of my experience...

Don't take it personal. Thank you for your time!
