I must admit (at the extreme risk of offending someone here), it would be great if the UUP dump website had a small list of what the latest Feature and Cumulative Update builds for x86 & AMD64 are, so that you do not have to have much knowledge or experience to be able to easily find and download the latest available. Pressing the "Fetch The Latest Build" button results in a complete dumpster fire for noobs. And pressing the "Browse The List Of Known Builds" button is also intimidating for many newcomers. I'll run off and hide now...
“Feature Update = Base build + updates + dynamic update Cumulative Update = Base build + updates” I installed the Cumulative Update. What did I miss in the “dynamic update” and what is the “dynamic update” anyway? Thanks for a response.
The dynamic update for DU sources, updates the sources folder on the ISO, only needed for upgrade scenarios.
Might not be the best reply message but I want to ask you is it enough to install the EP package on top of 18362.418 to get 18363.418 (1909)? If not which additional packages do I need?
Awesome, no need of additional SSU/CU? If so, I am having hard time since yesterday to find the EP package, can you link me to it?
I was trying to get to your profile and check if you posted it, but it is forbidden for me to enter Anyway, two really stupid questions, and I'm done. I remember there was a tool that had installer for cab packages by someone on this forum. I know I have downloaded it previously for my other machine but I forgot its name. And second question, this package won't enroll me into the release preview ring or any other insider ring right?
It's at the "Tools" section of the OP (first post of this thread). No, you won't be enrolled in any ring other then the retail release ring.
My apologize, I wasn't clear. I'm not insider. Should I switch to release preview channel or can I stay in release channel (not insider) and update?
Which one is better? What am I missing with dynamic update? I am sorry, I don't understand some of this things yet.
For normal installs the Cumulative option will be sufficient, the Feature Update option only offers the du for sources extra.
