I updated an 1809 virtual machine to 1903 (and then installed .53) to play today. Office 2019 is installed. Outlook had been set as the default mail client, and of course Microsoft reset PDF from Acrobat to Edge, browser from Firefox to Edge, and Outlook to the silly Mail client. However, Outlook is no longer an option for mail. I reinstalled Office 2019 with today's release, still doesn't show Outlook as an available mail client for default apps. Anyone else having this issue or a suggestion to fix it? UPDATE: Fixed it. I had to run a quick repair under add/remove programs and then it showed in the list again. I REALLY HATE that Microsoft mucks around with default program associations and forces those three back to Edge and Mail all the time.
My .30 install just downloaded and installed a KB with 666 in it's name which botched lxcore.sys which in turn is causing lxcore.sys bsod's at boot From reading, this is somewhat known and related to ssh connections. My Debian wsl distro is running an ssh service on a unused port . ~MC
Do you have a WorkSpaceJoin.adml file? If you do, I don't know what your issue is. If you don't you need to find a working copy somewhere, Try making a clean install in a VM or something.
For people that may be confused, all win10 builds have the base version. Sometimes the install media or download program also downloads and installs a cumulative update on top of that. For the 3rd month update versions they do it in a way that adds a recent month's cumulative update without needing online mode, but they all contain the full base version. If you ever do a win10 refresh, it will end up without any cumulative updates, even on versions that have the update pre-installed. So don't dwell too much on the current cumulative update version. They all contain the base image and patch it from there.
No, I haven't that file and I don't know why. I've also tried to make a clean install in a VM environment but nothing changed. I don't know if it's something related to language localizations. I have to try the english ISO.
Lurker here, just wanna add my observations I have seen "settings->apps" crash on my VMs on .1 and .30 and .53, but it just "fixes itself" after a while and/or a couple of restarts (but it can break again at any time) By default the settings app just crashes and goes away, but after I complete my windows "cleaning" routines (disabling defender, search, error reporting, telemetry services, and removing all apps, and a couple of inbox apps) I get this instead: https //i.imgur.com/3uW68RS png (i'm not allowed to post actual links, sorry, it's the curse of the lurker) It goes away after a while just like before, but now there's an error message Also, has anyone tried to resize a vertical taskbar (on either side of the screen) starting from 18362.1 ? For me it's really(!) laggy: https //i.imgur.com/grP1b2e gifv (i'm not allowed to post actual links, sorry, it's the curse of the lurker)
Creative Xfi Titanium pcie works in build 18362.53 confirmed (after installing Daniel K pack and updated with new creative Xfi driver)
Can confirm Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series + XFTI_PCDRV_L11_2_40_0018.exe ( Release date : 21 Mar 19 ) + XFI_SupportPack_4_0 ( Uncheck "Audio Driver", "Creative Audio Control Panel", "Creative Sound Blaster Properties x64 Edition" ! ) works!
Wow, indeed, that's really bad https //i.imgur.com/PyL29Es gifv (i'm not allowed to post actual links, sorry, it's the curse of the lurker, 2 more posts to go) After letting go, the "ghost" mouse cursor just keeps on dragging
