Oh, I've done that, but I still need a driver to do anything useful on that machine, even to run it at it's native resolution. It doesn't matter whether I use Windows Update video driver, or one of several Intel drivers, remote desktop won't work afterward. Since that's the only issue I appear to be having, I'd rather use VNC and have a driver installed. I just thought I'd mention it here in case others see a similar pattern. It's not just AMD or nVidia as that article I linked claimed.

No. Unless disaster strikes and MS have to do a complete new build, the present 18362.1 will be the RTM build, so anyone who has already installed it will be running the same software as that being released.
