No. KB3061185 looks to be one pushed out automatically during the upgrade process, but it's only a subset of the other.
Don't be an idiot. Nothing's really wrong with my computer. Sure it might be low end but it took 30 mins to install from an ISO. But it took to update to Build 10049 like 7hrs and now it's taking an eternity to update to 10071. Some people took 6hrs to update to Build 10049 with an i7 with an SSD.
did you uninstall the language packs that where added in 10049 if not there probably spending time updating them in 10071
I have this issue with my R9 270X. This problem is with the new wddm 2.0 driver pushed with Windows update. Install the latest beta driver wddm 1.3 and it will fix the black screen on boot. I hope it gets fixed on future drivers
I'm having a problem with the Synaptics touchpad driver update causing my laptop to crash and the mouse pointer to freeze. Why did MS disable the ability to turn off automatic updates without going into gpedit.msc? The bugged update downloads automatically by default, and then it will eventually install itself. Does anyone else agree that this is stupid of MS to force these kinds of changes down people's throats? Just like F8 doesn't work by default to get into safemode, and you have to rely on the system dumping you into it (which many things could cause that not to happen such as malware, bad sectors, etc.).
That's what it was? The language pack is causing this? My HTPC Windows 10 hardly have anything on it. Just Kodi. I guessed it might be the language packs then. Well a little too late now since Ubuntu is working nicely with my HTPC. Will wait for a better Build before I will reinstall it again. Ugh, it's on an SSD. I have already said it took around 30mins or less to install a clean ISO version.
Lol... I've been doing this for 30 years and my memory goes way back to when hardware was really, really slow...and no OS install in my lifetime has ever taken that long...not even close... Come to think of it--I've never even seen a comment like yours, either! Just when I think I've seen it all...If for some reason you are still using dial-up on a 56k modem, well, that would certainly creep--but that has nothing to do with Microsoft...your download time doesn't count as OS installation time, don't ya' know. Microsoft can't do a thing about your bandwidth...
I tried setting up custom update rules in gpedit.msc but they didn't carry over to the updates GUI in the clunky PC Settings dialogue. As it stands now, MS doesn't want people turning updates off, but people are getting bugged updates through automatic downloading, which can cause their PC to bluescreen. This is a serious problem; more taking away control from the user and putting it in the hands of Microsoft. Then when you need safemode, that too is disabled by default because you can't use the F8 option anymore. Looks like Windows 10 is really going down the s**tter.
