Every time I try to open a full screen game, it minimizes and show the desktop with the start menu open. Happens again if I alt-tab, or click on the taskbar icon for it. Anybody got a workaround? Edit to add: I remember reading about someone else with a similar issue some pages back, but couldnt find it again, so sorry if this has been asked/answered before. A link to the solution post would be appreciated.
download a tool that let's you disable the windows button or buy a k70 RGB which has that key built in
Well that was an entertaining read burfadel. However the truth of the matter is that Ad trackers make up a sizable amount of information gathering on the internet. That being said its only recent that people learned to give a damn about privacy because heaven forbid that the government collect anything. Come on guys the only thing that has changed recently is the revelations which showed what the NSA was doing. Let's be honest it wasn't even that hard to wrap your head around. I mean an agency known for its computer activities not utilizing them would have been strange. It's only the naive who thought that anything on the internet is not public information to start off with. Also there were already indications that there was a sizable amount of information being collected before it reached the light of day. You just needed to make a few inferences and connect the dots. To conclude what I'm saying it is not a load of garbage. The facts are before you its up to you if you want to accept them as such. Now to get back to the discussion its nice having fresh ISOs on MSDN.
so no one have any idea how to refresh the app list to get rid of uninstalled programs that still show up in the start menu app list?
Believe what you like, and either live under a rock or be paranoid at the wrong people . If you've got nothing to hide, you got nothing to worry about. Simple. Well, apart from the information gathered by private means going public, etc. People on Windows seems a lot more paranoid about the cloud than the same functions on an iPhone or Mac. Some of those complaining about privacy on Windows no doubt have shared more information about themselves through their iPhone or Android device than ever would be done through Windows. Windows in this case is just an easy target . If you're really paranoid, then why the (expletive) are you using these prerelease builds? Did you not read the PDA? lol.
According to that facepalm logic that is put in everyone's mouth (with success, as we can see), we can just as well go and ditch privacy altogether because it wouldn't make a difference, right? We can review nude pictures of you and your girlfriend and probably have a good laugh without a worry because there's nothing wrong with nudity, you've got nothing to hide, right? I don't know about you, but I've got some private stuff that is perfectly legal but I still don't want anybody to have access to it. Period. And just saying "don't put that stuff in the cloud or other place online then" is a lame recommendation because actually I'd expect from these services to respect my privacy and store my data in a way so that is inaccessible for everyone but me. Unfortunately, things are a little different in reality but that's not the fault of the technology or the people using it, it's the fault of those who instrumentalize it for their own or a governmental benefit. The cloud in itself is a great concept, it's just poorly implemented. And therefore I think it's appropriate to be sceptical. Because even if you've got nothing to hide, you've got to worry about your privacy. But BACK TO TOPIC.
The only reason why I believe that other planets and the outer space exist is because I have been told so by people I trust
