Please describe this AMD bug to me. I am currently doing a write up on a very similar bug which prevents logging into Windows 10 10074 due to the AMD drivers.
What AMD card have you ? , I have R9 270x and im using The AMD-Catalyst-14-9-win7-win8.1-64Bit-dd-ccc-whql drivers & i have no troubles whatsoever
I was getting black screen on windows boot up or reboots. It would get to the enter password screen, after entering password would black screen. Powercolor PCS+ R9 290X Both in win 10 and win 8.1. I tried various bios no go on fixing the black screens. I tried every driver from 13.2 and up. Changed motherboards. I did find a way to make the black screens stop but could not use CCC but could use any driver. However 2 days ago, I might have stumbled onto a solutions, from another website I knew about. I thought WTH and tried leshcat modified drivers for laptops even though I use a desktop. I have been 2 days without a black screen on boot up. I did not install the intel drivers as I did not need them. Leshcat has a thought on it, as to some dword registry settings that might of fixed it for desktop cards.
Yeah we implemented that dword into UnifL to fix a blackscreen output issue for HDMI on switchable laptops. Am glad it worked for you for your desktop card. Hopefully kaaleth will reply as I am trying to figure out why the WU AMD Drivers for Windows 10 10074 cause strobe/disco flashing type of light on some configurations. Seems to only affect specific switchable laptops.
I'm using a HP Stream 14 with a AMD Radeon R3 graphics chip. Using the latest drivers from Windows Update its OK while in normal use, although sometimes opening the 'Settings' app will cause the screen to flash and the app won't open. Not sure if that's down to the AMD driver. But, almost every time the power settings turns my screen off, or I wake the laptop from sleep. I get a notification about the AMD drivers crashing. I tried using the AMD 15.4 Beta drivers but they made no difference, and Windows replaced them with the newer ones the next time Update ran.
That is interesting. Not quite the same situation I am having but I have seen very similar behavior on my switchable Intel HD 3000 + Radeon 6850m device. It is as if all the XAML apps work perfectly fine and then ShellExperienceHost.exe reloads resulting in all Apps stopping from working. This might share an underlining issue but nevertheless I reported it to MS. The issue I currently face is that the flashes start right on the login screen. Problem is that I cannot even see the login screen but just the theme colour flashing/strobing. No way around it unless I disable AMD via Safe Mode and then reenable it once I am back in Windows.
No flashing/strobing here, but the theme colour is always black once I get logged back in. I've not seen anyway of disabling Windows Update on any of the TP's Anyway it won't matter here, as I have the same issue with both sets of drivers.
You need to install extra keyboard layouts to see the language bar, if you only have one it's not going to display for obvious reasons.
i downloaded the iso from the official site, but when i'm trying to install it using the usb, it says the installation is error, something is missing or corrupt, i tried to download it again and still got the same problem...
