[DISCUSSION] Windows 10 Build 10074

OMG! This a thousand times! It's really the only thing keeping me from using Windows 10 on bare metal. The sound drivers that WU pushes are downright broken for my system.

 

So where is the new build? 74 build been out for a while now.

a new amd driver came out today on windows update i installed it and everything went perfect no issues no fps loss just gains in performance

 

anyone can help me with this.. Suddenly today I had this problem that I couldn't fix.. the lower right corner area showed in the attached pic surrounded by a red line is not responding to mouse clicks and trackpad taps. It is causing problems when I need to adjust the volume level or battery settings also when I am on facebook the chatting area is affected. I am using the latest build 10074. Unfortunately I didn't find a restore point to restore my system to. Any suggestions

Yes, the driver is build 1023, up from 1018. The driver files appear to be the same version, but are not bit identical. In other words, they have had 'commits' but not build version bumps.

Hopefully in preparation for a new Windows build!

The second to last group of numbers is the date, in yymmdd. So, it looks like they make a few builds in the leadup to a build release. If this is true, it looks like they are preparing to release a new build soon

Yes, but you are missing all the sexy things you can talk to Cortana about.
It's about the way you ask her things, to get her to open up, be nice, no dirty words, tell her you love her
and only her, this seems to get her going!!!

 

I've had to do the upgrade manually, thru the Device Manager, but it's all OK!

My Cortana does not work correctly.
I say
"Hey Cortana"
She opens but does not hear what I ask her.
Then she closes.
But she hears "Hey Cortana"
