Yeah, this could be a good idea, as MS won't let you login to their Metro apps with different accounts. At the moment I've got three profiles running on my laptop, the MS account I use for work, my personal MS account and an old XBL MS account which my GT, games and Zune/Xbox music are all linked too.
Why dont you just change the email address attached to your XBL account to your new MS account? Or is that not possible? In regards to work account and personal, I sign into office as work account, but windows is personal account. What is it you need separate accounts for?

Thats why i still thinking to replace windows with linux, tried a few back in september/oktober 2014 till januari 2015. Arch or Arch based is the best one for my laptop with no crashes/freezes.
