Are you using that recent "WHQL" Win10 driver? Or as some people in the Nforce forums refer to it, the recent beta driver. It's causing a couple problems.
I had to go back to 8.1 on my laptop with this build because when I upgraded to the new graphics card driver it caused a lag in Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! Hope the new build will be lag free.
a lot of MSN app got update, seem like MS is ready for a new build ps: People app worked after update
never had spartan crash once on my amd gpu but many many times on my nvidia system the nvidia drivers are soooo bad
Those updated apps look rather nice. What would happen to Window 8.1's store once they're more or less finished with universal apps for windows 10?
The Store will still be (until they close support), but Apps released on the UAP platform of W10 are not working on W8.1 so you have to update sooner than later anyway not to ignore that there isn't any reason to stick to 8.1.
That is the way it should be for all software. And I wish Microsoft would adhere to it for RTM. Instead of promising a release for Summer, they should be sticking to "it's done when it's done." Deadlines are NEVER good for software.
It's never done, RTM is the final build but it's not the final version so deadlines don't matter as much. RTM has only one purpose, which is getting a stable and somewhat polished build to OEM's to start making W10 devices for sale, Insiders will get the same build and the average consumer will get GA which will be RTM+bunch of updates and ofc that's not the final version either, there is no "done" with Windows 10.
To be precise: RTM is the FIRST final build! There will still a lot of changes on the way (to the next version, whatever that is) and the cycle will start again! That said, a Forum like MDL will all time present for to take over a part of community work an developer need, even Microsoft! As a matter of fact, as there isn't anything and nobody available to be perfect, there will also never an OS or any other software which is perfect. That's simply impossible, because those, who creating thos software and OS'es are imperfect too!
Please, post image of the error here. Are you logged into your system with your Hotmail credential? If yes, try to type Mail and Calender into the search of Store(beta), look for Mail app and click install button. Right-click on you icon at the Store(beta) and select Download and all you apps which need to be updated will be on the list including the People app.
That is not how it is supposed to look like after the update. This is how mine looks like after the update below. Corrigendum: Your post got me confused a little bit. Now I know you post the Weather not the People app that you inserted inline in your previous statement. It seems to be something that has to do with your connection. I'd advise you check your internet connection properly.
