You don't need to be in "For developers" to change the Update Ring. You have to do that under Windows Update > Advanced settings.
Just a follow up to an earlier question about a clean install.. i just updated my clean to to this version and then i changed the product key to my windows 8 one.. it accepted it and activated so fingers crossed that means i can upgrade to RTM and stay activated for free
Remote Server Admin Tools (RSAT) (KB2693643) - January version, which worked on previous builds including 10074, instantly "succeeds" installing, shows up in update history, but installed updates says nothing has been installed, and the tools are not found.
thats a update error do a clean install or 1. Unpin all bugged app from Start.2. Get dev license: powershell -> Show-WindowsDeveloperLicenseRegistration 3. Check status: powershell -> Get-WindowsDeveloperLicense 4. Reset Store cache: Run -> wsreset 5. Open Store (green icon) go to %YouAccount% and restore Mail, Calendar & People.
I think there is a potential process of you having to remove it from the Start first before re-installing it from your account at the Store. It seems the developer's license process has been deprecated or all together disallowed in this build.
Cheesed off as I don't have the fastest adsl here and was about 90% downloaded from xinso's link on post #75 when it appears that ms have pulled the plug on the en-gb esd file. Does anyone have any other links for the x64 en-gb file please? Cheers
hate the large program icons in the tiles, all out of focus,i updated my weather app on startmenu last night on 10074 and it looked really good, now with 10122 nothing shows on the tile,if i click it it opens and i see my weather,i can't sign into it,the sign in window wont open, can't re pin calender or weather to startmenu as well.
