    I succeeded to get rid of Microsoft basic display adapter following this procedure:
    1. In Windows\system32\DriverStore\ delete any of display drivers.
    2. Update driver online not through WU but by right clicking on Microsoft basic display driver, update driver software, search automatically....
    That's what I did in 10122 and 10125 clean install.

    are you talking about updating it in Device Manager

    right clicking on Microsoft basic display driver, update driver software, search automatically....

    The reason I as is those are the same actions and words in Device Manager

    it takes a couple of checks to Windows Update for them to get installed but they do.

    Launching a game and then exiting game going back to desktop all borked, shows small desktop window in upper left corner and all else black. Using AMD 15.5 Driver. Anyone else see this?

    what graphics card have you ,,, Im using R9 270x & along with the 15.4 drivers and ive no problems at all

    for me anything from 14.12 upto 15.5 work nice its just for the games im playing i find 15.4 gives slightly better performance other than that any except WDDM 2.0 there just garbage.
    Also i completely uninstalled all ati drivers with DDU ( display driver uninstaller ) from guru3d then installed new ones
