An update for my problem of Drivers not appearing on WU in this build I found out that when I re-enabled SmartScreen it instantly found the drivers. So a tip for those of you who don't want preview drivers to get automatically installed just disable SmartScreen (only checked in this build 10125). My Start Menu problem still exists though....
10125 is just the best build yet for this PC and it looks great. Even with a s**tty integrated GPU like my intel G33 everything is so fast, especially Project Spartan. I'm amazed with this browser, really. Long pages with lots of pics and gifs are not a problema anymore. Everything moves fluidly and I'm impressed how little CPU it uses for watching video. Either HTML5 or flash it just plays great. Even if you multitask with other things the video and audio sounds without a hiccup. And this GPU doesn't have video acceleration support so we are talking about real code optimization here. Just hoping for compatibility for some addons from Chrome and I'm in. bugs I found so far: -Apps launched from StartMenu appear in small size. -Right click on taskbar Clock -> Properties doesn't work. -Spartan video fullscreen works now but it closes the video if you press OK at the bottom. If you pin it in the taskbar it will remember its last size next time.
I bet, you'll find quite a few entries of failed to install AMD drivers in update history. If so, timeout fix is what you looking for. Apply it and WU will find AMD driver again.
I am on 10122 Education. Cannot set Google Chrome as default internet browser for lack of Settings. Help will be appreciated. Thanks.
Settings > system >default apps I don't want chrome on my machines. But Vivaldi, Opera and Opium are shown properly, and can be set as default app, as expected.
On Google browser, run: chrome://settings/ under Default browser: click Make Google Chrome the default browser
Upgraded from Home or Pro. No Start Menu, No Cortana, No Store, No Notification, No Windows Update. But it has full features as of other editions. So I can do everything I used to, and it is fast responding. Yes, I am Admin.
