My only concern that I have not seen addressed in this "NEW FREE" upgrade process, is how we might go about later doing a full reinstall. I have not seen any information on "us" being provided with a key a future use or anything. This detail has me quite concerned.
The best thing to do after installing ISO, then install your backup software, make backup right then, save that backup like it was gold, then start a new backup for daily use like when you add programs, but always keep the first backup with nothing else on it.
Maybe we will just be able to back up the activation files .. which should be good enough in most cases. Testers really should get keys if they are making this OS free for a year.

This is the best I can achieve: 1. Install en-US 10125 2. Mount pt-BR 10122 install.wim 3. Copy the pt-BR language folders from 10122 to 10125 as below (1) C:\Windows\pt-BR (2) C:\Windows\System32\pt-BR (3) C:\Windows\System32\Dism\pt-BR (4) C:\Windows\System32\oobe\pt-BR (5) C:\Windows\System32\slmgr\0416 (6) C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\pt-BR (7) C:\Windows\System32\wbem\pt-BR (8) C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\pt-BR (9) Import pt-BR MUI registry (delete en-US and add pt-BR) Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\MUI\UILanguages\en-US] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\MUI\UILanguages\pt-BR] "DefaultFallback"="en-US" "en-US"=hex(7):00,00,00,00 "LCID"=dword:00000416 "Type"=dword:00000112 (10) Control Panel> add a language (of pt-BR, and set Formats/Location/Administrative > Change system locale) (11) Reboot (12) Control Panel> add a language > set pt-BR as display language > Log out > Log in (13) Copy 10122 C:\Windows\SystemResources to substitute/overwrite 10125 C:\Windows\SystemResources (for Settings to show pt-BR) [Note] Removing en-US language is NOT recommended (because pt-BR language is NOT complete and needs en-US to fall back to).
They don't have inside the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\system32 The file lang.ini ???? or its only in install.wim ?
First install of 10125 got screwed up somehow. Things just weren't right. Zeroed the drive and did another install, this time it seems okay. I use Classic Shell as I REALLY do not like the long All Apps list. I drug the few apps that I actually use on occasion to the desktop, which automatically creates a shortcut. Put the shortcuts in a folder and put that folder in my Classic Shell programs list. This time, the shortcuts retained their respective icons and work just fine. or
lang.ini? It is in ISO\sources (for upgrade) and ISO\sources\boot.wim (index:2)\sources (for new installation)
unfortunately this little trick will have an end when enterprise/Core/Pro RTMs because enterprise will not be free. Also dism measures will fail upon lack of genuine keys ...
