It is true but it's Pre-Sale only, a way to get some money upfront with no fixed schedule of delivery (yet)! I call such a simply kind of fraud!
.... You don't pay anything, seriously have you people never shopped online or what. These are PLACEHOLDER listings, you pay NOTHING, you Pay when it ships, for the price it actually retails not what it's being listed right now, it's not the real price.
The old thread deteriorated into people asking for language packs on every other post and bullying, I'm glad it's gone
Just found this guys windowscentral.com/windows-10-prices-and-release-dates-home-and-pro-versions-may-have-leaked In newly discovered pre-order listings on NewEgg.com, the site shows a price of $109.99 for Windows 10 Home and $149.99 for Windows 10 Professional. Both listings display a release date of August 31 for the products.
Don't think many people will be paying that if it's free for 12 months first, but some people don't upgrade straight away I suppose
yeah ofcorse they didn't buy first 12 month's ...but after 12 months if want keep using Win 10 so they will buy....
If you get Win 10 within the first 12 months, it is yours to keep forever for free, only if you do not upgrade within that first year then you have to pay That's how I understand it anyway
I'm not sure about that, haven't heard anything solid about clean installs, but you could just upgrade and then do a reset like Win 8.1 allows, that would be the same as a clean install
Nor me, always leaves some bugs behind I expect there will be an easy workaround for clean installs, maybe like the "Clean install with upgrade key" trick setting MediaBootInstall to 0 or something similar
