At the install a few weeks ago and now again today, I didn't have that problems. Maybe depend on Software used, drivers or whatsoever but all machines. Mine is an Laptop too, an older Acer Aspire 4752G and works well, just need 3 drivers from Acer for to have everything works, except Broadcom XP Picture driver! So, for me it's quite OK! Still will wait for the MS Release either an Build, if it come first or the RTM! Just Windows 10 will be the way to go for me!
That's not Microsoft, it's Qualcom!! The problem is, if the Hardware Manufacturer didn't modify or create new drivers, Microsoft have no way as to take what (may) works! The 'black sheep' is the Hardware manufacturer!
Annoying problem cropped up on my laptop, The pinned Explorer file folder icon now opens a new icon on the taskbar when it is clicked. Any way to get just the original one to open without having a second pop up?
yes its M$ fault , really they are using ancient WIFI driver while there is newer drivers from the manufacture ...even auto driver update didn't bring any newer driver
If the drivers work then what's the problem and if they don'y you already know where to get them. I have just the opposite, I play arond with a yoga 2 pro and when I install 10 MS installs Lenovo signed drivers far in advance of anything that Lenovo has on their site. So the drivers are supplied by the manufacturers and all MS does is pass them on as they get them.
I'm using a m.2 ssd the Samsung xp941 and this is the first build that isn't constantly freezing up using that device. Previous builds have been unusable. However this build still has some locking up issues every once in a while. when using a traditional SSD (over Sata) I don't get any of these issues. I wonder if they are going to be fixing the storage driver completely before release? anyone else running an xp941?
no lockups or freezing here on 5 years old 5400RPM HDD , i dont know but its weird that SSD cause lockups its probs related to some another driver i guess ? edit : are you using the latest firmware for the SDD ?
I think it has something to do with it connecting over the PCI express lane vs SATA port. I have compared the windows default storage driver from windows 8.1 (no problems in Win8.1 using m.2 ssd) and the Windows 10 storage default storage driver and they are different versions. There are no specially released drivers for this device that I know of. And no firmware updates that I can find. (It is OEM only device, so no consumer facing firmware or drivers that I know of.)
It is because SATA is extremely mature and M.2 PCIe based storage drivers are new and no where near mature yet. Engineers are working on those issues every hour of every day though, so its just a matter of time before you see some stability, and probably soon I would think. The M.2 standard is about to explode in a very big way when Skylake releases, so Microsoft has to have that stable and soon.
Just published an update for 10130 PC build to fix the problem with notifications and other flyouts not responding GabeAul
what,i want the whole os updated, not just a fix,i thought we'd get a new build today not just an update, strange that one of my computers needed a restart after this update, but another didn't.
