Do you (or anyone else) happen to know if it's broken in the latest official build (10130)? Edit: I disabled SMB 2.0/3.0, and I can access the NAS now, however, I can't login. I can access the public (no authentication) folder, but not the main one I need.
Sorry. But I no longer have 10130. Stopped using it a while back. I have leaked build 10134 installed on another laptop...but I don't have it with me as of now. All I know is that there has been major issues with network related stuff in this build. If u have wifi it randomly shuts off. Computer browser works when it wants. And I believe there are authentication issues relating to connecting to NAS drives, etc... Cause I was able to connect to one computers network share but It didn't even open authentication dialog. It just told me I didn't have permission at all ( in other computers I'm able to connect . Then I try connecting to another network share and it says it can't be found (even though it's online) But hang in there Were bound to get build this week... And problem should be fixed hopefully
Ah, thanks for the feedback I'm a bit impatient, so I'll probably just download 10130 and give it a shot there (and if it shouldn't work there; I'll just go to 8.1 temporarily). In the meantime, if anyone has any other ideas, I'm open to try them.
No problem glad I could be of help. If I try to recall clearly I remember NAS, network shares, etc working in 10134 (so take with grain of salt) So I'm sure 10130 would be the same. But remember 10130 has lots more bugs than 10147 so I would suggest you just wait out till next build or head back to 8.1 in the meantime
Any one figured out how to open images in Windows Image Viewer yet? I selected it as my default app for images but it opens in print view interface.
So now running 10147 still my video card driver won't install I had hoped that this build would fix it but for the rest It seems to be running smootly and also new icons
Like what? It'll take me another 2 hours to have the build but if crucial things are broken, i'll just skip it and go to 8.1 lol. For comparison, 10074 was the last build I used, and it was relatively fine if I recall correctly.
Not restarting it took 5-10 minutes to reboot and some minor things where broken in build 10130 Ps I'm on multi boot with windows 10 and windows 8.1 BtW
Can somebody help me... Store Beta keeps on crashing, here's what I found on Event Viewer: Code: Faulting application name: WinStore.Mobile.exe, version: 2015.6.8.5, time stamp: 0x55761f3e Faulting module name: combase.dll, version: 10.0.10147.0, time stamp: 0x557d385f Exception code: 0xc000027b Fault offset: 0x0015bb9e Faulting process id: 0x1ad0 Faulting application start time: 0x01d0ad41ee7d8c4b Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.6.8.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe\WinStore.Mobile.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\combase.dll Report Id: 72b0d859-6245-4725-ba01-a47095627fc7 Faulting package full name: Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.6.8.0_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe
I did make it default. But it opens like this: View attachment 36411 When it should open like this: View attachment 36412 I checked in Metro Settings App (Win+I), in the System>Default Apps section, the only option available for images is Paint (since I deleted all the other Metro apps), but not Windows Photo Viewer. Also, if I try to set defaults using apps, Windows Photo Viewer gives me only tif and tiff as the options (which files do open up properly as in the 2nd image above). The behaviour changed in 10147, till 10135 it was working properly.
The best thing to do now is to focus on the preview builds, and keep your worries when the time for RTM will com.
On Friday when he said you would have to back to 130 in order to upgrade to the final I figured it was just a slip of the tongue and what he really meant was you would have to be on the final released test version whatever it may be. Now I am wondering if that is what he meant to say because there isn't going to be another release before RTM.
