The point is I as user want to have complete control over installation. If I wanted to be controlled, I'd buy stinking Apple!
As I am sure you realize you are in the tiny minority there..most people want to click one button and have everything done for them.
Id agree and disagree with that statement, I'd disagree because the majority of people who want to click one button and have everything done for them, likely won't be reinstalling windows on their own The people reinstalling windows for them, want control But I'd agree that the majority of PC owners don't have a clue, and want everything done for them - but that's when they call people like us, who don't want everything done for them Catch 22
Agreed......... However in this case specifically where they are pushing out a new OS to a billion PCs or so they have no choice but to have a one-click button as the overwhelming number of people who get the popup that says "Install Windows 10 Now" will get stuck right there.
this build feels buggy still suffers from driver issues....my lenovo T400 having a lot of issue running 58
That's an interesting point. Do you think MS captured the hardware information when they did the "Get Windows 10" thing? How will they know what PCs have decent enough drivers to run this and what ones don't or will they just start pushing it out to everyone anyway? Certainly a lot of PC makers are extremely slow in providing updated driver and Lenovo is only one of them. Not to mention people using 6 year old PCs that came with windows 7, are they even going to write drivers for machines that haven't been supported for 3-4 years?
Upgraded from Build 10147 to Build 10158. No problems until now. But like others, "HUB" is missing in Start Menu. Is there a way to restore it?
That majority are simpletons. Those aren't suppose to be testing beta OS. Their skill's level goes as high as firing up Facebook. If they are installing beta system on their own, that's their stupidity. I see no reason why should I be punished because of them. So for the last time, OS has no business whatsoever to force me using anything. End of story.
You're choosing to use it, so you're forcing it upon yourself in reality You don't 'have' to use it, no-one is 'forcing' anything on you
