IDT sound drivers can only works at 16bit 48000hz, if you change it , sounds stop working and gave you an error message, you will have to reinstall drivers again to have sound back

CRC32 - 714A1278 MD5 - 9E6A90C8A6879A030933EC93474BB339 SHA-1 - DC45681B7027A6AC07EE8D2248718701A2B47DE9 Yours might be the same, only different.
I have same issue.....but I haven't hooked a phone up yet under the new install, maybe it needs that?
What issue are you having? My VMWARE install of 158 is working fine. What version of VMWARE are you running?
