I have an Acer VivoTab 8 that I bought about 10 months ago. It had a x64 processor and came with 32-bit Windows 8.1. If they are serious about moving away from x86, they need to provide an x86-to-x64 migration path that doesn't involve reformatting and starting over.
Try to clean system files under Admin tools then check again. I had upgraded from 130 to 158, then from 158 to 159 in the last 2 hours.
Can someone please post the link build 10,159 core x64 ptbr, I cosigo not download the update in build 10158.
Anyone know if this fixes the Realtek Audio problems? My sound would stop working in 158 and my microphone wouldn't work either. I would get some randomly farting/static noise from time to time and trying to configure the microphone would result in "failed to open audio wizard".
I deleted the following regKeys from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability: EnablePreviewBuilds, FlightingOwnerGUID, and UserPreferredBranchName. THen I restarted the WIndows Update service. THen I told it to check for updates again. Th eprogress bar shot almost immediately to 100%. Now it is in the middle of "Preparing to install updates" "
I think the surprise was the Hero wallpaper. It was expected to not release until July 29th (or RTM anyway) as far as I know, but someone at Microsoft couldn't contain themselves any longer, lol.
