another option. could get the pro one then upgrade it to enterprise one using the enterprise key? that's the way I did it.
You can opt for Pro and Upgrade to Enterprise online (by simply entering the Ent Key) or the mounted WIM .
That I know, was a shot in a dark. Thing is neither does the key that came through the upgrade work (ending in 7XM87). I reported the error on Windows Feedback.
I am really curious if they are going to be adjusting the KMS protocol for RTM build. By this point in both Windows 8.0 and Windows 8.1 development, they had long since adjusted the KMS protocol, even in the preview builds, if I am remembering things correctly. The fact that a preview version, at this stage in the development process, still activates against the KMSv6 protocol is certainly interesting.
Yeah, normally you can edit fast enough for it to work just fine, but today wow, its just going by so fast that editing a post is almost a wasted task. Might as well just correct yourself after everyone else, lol.
I think they either 1) realized the pushed the KMSv6 out too soon last time, or 2) Since they are giving it away, why change haha
Nope KMSv6 was introduced with Win 8.1 RTM publicily, no build leaked with it. Iirc same applied for Win 8.
Exactly what I was about to make a post about: it blows me away that people are still worried about that stuff even when Microsoft is pretty much giving it away.
cant find the source arrrr win10 has crashed on me while browsing it .... cant find it anymore, found the website by error
I'd say we're less than 15 days away from RTM because some companies like Dell have already announced they plan to have machines with Windows 10 ready to ship on the 30th of June. Wzor made a post earlier today on Twitter IIRC saying perhaps by July 9th it could happen, so we'll see if it does obviously. It can't be that far away because it's got to get into the OEM hands soon.
It said that there are over 300 bug fixes in 10159 build compared to the 10158. But as you know, it looks like the new "features" in build 10159 are only the new default Windows 10 desktop wallpaper, along with a new look for the login screen.
well i think i'm gonna opt out of this insider program, i can not be assed with the constant hassle of having to verify my ms account!! and get a code for everytime i install!! i will see what happens when i upgrade an oem activated win7 pc without an ms account...
Well, in my case, even if I got a qualifying PC, I've got an eye on the Enterprise edition for my development machine because of the long-time servicing branch, and this edition won't be available for free (can't even buy it as an individual). But, who knows, maybe I or some smart guy figures out how to enable the LTSB in the Pro edition...
Does anybody have a solution as to why my fbl_impressive 10159 is stuck at 0% from windows update thanks
