thanks for info bro. At least MS should allow us to chose what updates is suitable to our system as system owners know better what updates are best for their system.
Wasn't aware of this... interesting. Will it let you select what updates to install and not install (say, if I don't want a driver update for a mouse, but want a driver for my card reader and Defender)?
The magnet which I posted earlier seems to be dead. If anyone else has a magnet/torrent link for en-US Pro x64 esd, kindly oblige.
Having issues with my Realtek Ethernet card in my laptop, it goes out randomly and forces me to unplug and replug to get internet working again. If I don't, it will eventually move over to wifi connectivity and give a yellow exclamation until a replug. This started with 10158 and carried over to 10159 unfortunately. Anyone else having trouble with their ethernet card? On my two desktop machines it's working perfectly.
What version of Google chrome browser are you using? It is time you opt for the latest, if you are running old version. I personally disable Internet Explorer. I am running Intel-based system and the drivers are easily reached for online though.
Has anyone idea how to get ESD link from 10158 machine downloading 10159? I've tried bitsadmin, and looked into SoftwareDistribution like in older builds, but it isn't here.
have you tried search for updates then quickly go to advanced options and change it to fast and stay on that window for awhile, then go back to win update and it might be showing ready to download,it was for me,i have done this before when my setting would revert to slow after i had changed it to fast.
Use search to look for it. The size, time and date will help you to identify it easily in the directory - if it hasn't been replaced with the current download.
Use something that finds the files, not something that searches for them, like the stock windows search. Try Agent Ransack
