that should be but unfortunately MS has not let us to chose driver updates even. driver updates are also automatically gets downloaded and installed and we can't stop it. MS should let us to chose what updates to download and what to install from the update center and what from your latest drivers stocks downloaded from the manufacturer's site. Really this is weird.
finally after 5 clean installs i have my lenovo T400 running with out issue what a mission!!!!! old hardware struggles with this built and is all driver related....i still laugh at MS super low specs to run windows 10....who are they kidding
Windows search is very good. All he needs to do is specified the filename. In this case it is Install.esd .
When it's decrypted like that, it's unique. The hash will be different for everyone. Decrypted versions cannot be shared here.
No 2 Finger Touchpad scrolling in all XAML based apps on the Synaptics drivers in this build. Makes using the OS a bit of a pain.
Oh, I see. It is about locating the downloaded ESD file in his own system not about sharing it here though.
I believe you see it a bit wrong!! As you stated in your own post, it were Driver issues and NOT Windows issues. Simple fact is that Microsoft isn't responsible for the Drivers of 3.party hardware, that those hardware manufacturers. Drivers for older Hardware, not that old as your T400(!!) didn't working at all on computers running Windows 10! That's simply the fault of the manufacturer (HP, Sony, NEC!! to name just a few) and NOT Microsoft at all! Fact is that many drivers are limited by the Kernel of the system used because of their (Driver) development. As, in case of Windows 10, this system is using an updated Kernel, that old drivers are not easy running, if at all! If you'd bash IBM/Lenovo for your driver problems, I would be with you, just not as you bash Microsoft for something they never did! And that applies for all those Driver problems!
Yah, if someone wants to share it, the proper procedure is to get it to start downloading, then use the bits command to find a link. Then, manually download the esd file from the link and share it.
Double shortcut fix bug. Just some apps like Skype desktop do that. 10158 is fine. Already reported in Windows Feedback. View attachment 36698
Very true I peronaly find it frustrating that thirt party drivers are rear at the moment for windows 10 It is al for windows 8 and 7 mostly they work on window 10 but unfortunaly the important drivers for me are buggy like sound and video !
Please use the feedback app and urge them to fix the drivers. If you don't tell them, they won't know.
