Heres something funny and stupid at the same time im still trying to update to build 10159 from 10158 in the fast ring and it still my device is up to date and will not fetch me the new build.
my first thought would be to use the thread for 10159 to ask the question since its already there and has enough people watching it to probably help in a flash. What key are you trying to use to install and what edition are you wanting to install and what ESD or ISO did you use to install. lots of what what what's lol
Just curious if anyone is using this one their daily machine? I was thinking of installing this badboy today but started to wonder how it ran. I know the OEM comes out 7/29 was wondering how far along this version was?
Default ones works fine here ASMedia USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0.96 (Microsoft) - usb controller drivers does not work
Basically it should have activated automatically with install. You are on MS account, right? No reason not to be. Anyway, open command prompt as ADMINISTRATOR, and type in slui 3 and press enter. A window will pop up asking you for an activation key. Enter the proper key for whichever Windows 10 you are using, Pro, Core, Enterprise, etc. It will then activate.
People who can't upgrade are making 2 common mistakes: 1. Windows need to be activated with a MSA account and with the key Microsoft provided in the very first build. (I never changed the NKJFK... key and had no problems upgrading) 2. Your MSA account needs to be verified. This step is skipped by so many people it's not even funny. Just go to Settings -> Accounts and verify your account (Microsoft will send you a code via email) If nothing of that helps then it's better to start with a 10130 clean install and upgrade from that.
I wouldn't do that..if anything I think 147 was more stable..there are random freezes all the time as well as other issues like IE crashing on close from time to time.
tough to say, every system is different. Heck this is the best running build Ive used yet. So much so, I put it on a production system that I use all the time. First time I've done that with Win10.
If anybody wants to know this build is AMAZING. I'm using it as main os and haven't had a single bug as of yet Rock solid OS And just wait till we get RTM leak
I don't know about it being a bug, but even in Windows 8.1 you need to add local network login to 'Credential Manger' in control panel or a 'Homegroup' to get access to network shares when using an MSA.
I have to admit that I feel a bit out of sorts without my Enterprise installed, Ill rectify that the 29th though lol
