The alternative would be to scan all 4 million users every 10 seconds to see who has changed..not going to happen.
It should, but it's timebombed on the preview, so it's not like you're getting any sort of permanent upgrade from it. If you want to get the permanent activation offer you either need to wait till Jul29 for the GA using the upgrade icon, or be logged into Insider account.
Really? They wouldn't be homemade if they were MS ISOs and I thought that was the only rule..no homemade ISOs.
Instead Microsoft maybe will give the public link to Trial Version for let say 90 day's or so!! On the other hand, Anybody could get an original ISO with a bit of effort and really read what Microsoft is already openly offering! Who wouldn't understand that, should go back to school and start learning the basics of 1-4 grade student's!
as long as MS does not publish theses isos officially on their site, they are considered as "not official" and might cause a DMCA take down notice, sorry to say
I don't know. This is a little confusing. The announcement seems to suggest that nothing except direct download links from MS hosting servers would be allowed. I asked about it, but I don't remember ever getting a response.
How is the situation with pastebins etc? If you link to a pastebin that contains the links, is it allowed or not? Can the DMCA complain?
They will though..they said as soon as you upgrade you can then download the ISO to do a clean install..I assume that means they will be available immediately.
But maybe you have to use some kind of web setup like with Windows 8/8.1 to download the ISO, and not via public links.
Shouldn't matter, it is still an ISO and it comes from MS. Now what isn't clear is exactly how does this ISO differ from a retail ISO or does it? Anyway retail ISOs are always available from their site for anything it's just how quickly will they be posted.
Sure, I just wanted to point out that there are other ways than public links to offer ISOs to genuine users.
that could be an exception to their own rules but I believe if they do it, it will only be available during the first year for insiders only. Average joe will have no access to these files believe me
